Most here aren't old enough to remember this show, but it was very popular for a long time. Here's a short clip someone emailed me today. Watching it I couldn't help but think of the drunk white fans:

I used to watch that show(repeats) all the time and it was family friendly but it is tame compared to the pranks pulled on people today. Check out the show called Scare Tactics on the SCI FI channel at 11 pm throughout the week.

I watched Candid Camera every Sunday night on CBS in the early 1960's.

Allen Funt was the force behind Candid Camera. He and the show had a clean cut image until he came out with a movie version of Candid Camera in about 1970 called "What Do You Say to a Naked Lady"? It was rated X back in the early days of the ratings system, before "lady" was banned by the feminazis as somehow a "sexist" word. Now it would receive a mild R rating.
