Former aide to Tip O'Neill and a long time TV talking head. Hosts "Hardball" on MSNBC. Mathews has a thing about "white racism," and harps on it endlessly. For instance, he thinks "whites didn't react to Katrina because the victims were African-American." Some years ago, I read in the Washington Times that Mathews lives in a leafy, affluent all-white suburb.
