I dont follow high school football very closely, but did notice a trend in my area. The majority of highschools feature all white or nearly all white teams. That is until the last 5 years or so. Now it seems each school must feature a black at tailback. No big deal one would think, its happening all over andI guessI knew soon enough it would happen in my little neck of the woods. But what unfolded thisseason really made me sick.


Last year one of the big schools in the area went unbeaten in league play and made it deep into the state tournement.Many of this teamsopponents had the token black tailback, yet this team dominated with a solid white back.Solid would be an understatement. This kid is 6'4' 230 lbs and ran the ball up and down the field at will. Heeasily went over 1,000 yards, was named all state. He was a local favorite with the media and was the top returning player in the area, if not the state. This team was picked to win the conference crown again this year, led by their returning star at tailback.


Enter the caste-system. Theteam decides to keep pace with other teams in the area. This returning all-state tailback is now delegated to blocking back. The team has one loss on the season and has earned a share of the conference title(they won it last year outright).They dominate with an overpowering line and give their new scat-back, who is a junior, 20-30 carries a game.Local mediaproudly crowns this new black kid "king of the grid-iron." What about the returning all-state tailback? Quietly dismissed as being less athletic, nothing is said of him anymore. He gets a few goal line and short yardage carries. They worshiped him a year ago. Even smalltown america is being disgraced by the caste-system now days.


What if the roles were reversed? What if the returning all-state black back was moved to fullback for a white junior? All hell would break loose. Racism would be hollered from the rooftops, probably by both blacks and whites. It would be HUGE news. Truley disgusting

The white kid should have took matters into his own hands when the kid moved there. There's no way I would have given up my spot without a fight no matter how stupid the coaches were. Either that or he should have transfered to a rival school and stuck the ball down their throat.
 
Mayo Spartans. Tyler Rank. Interesting read on Jake. I had a sour experience with the gophers in my playing days also. I got RB mvp at their recruiting camp and was heavily recruited by them, but ened up going to South Dakota State. When it came time to offer scholarships, they came to my school and told me they would love to have me walk on. I told them to lick my sack. Edited by: bigwhitehorse
 
Similar high school experience

In my high school days I had the rare opportunity to play against Rochester J.M's Darrel Thompson (a black RB) and Waconia's Ron Goetz (a white RB). Both were great, but Goetz was just a beast, much more power. In addition I ran against Goetz in the 110M high hurdles, I believe he clocked a 15.1 (not bad for a guy built like the hulk)

Both went to play for Lou Holtz, and I was surprised when I saw Thompson became the starting Tailback and Goetz was moved to fullback/linebacker. I remember thinking "this is really odd, I would have never predicted this, Goetz was much better" That is when I started being suspicious of the caste system and wondered how many other times in other states this had occured. Thompson went on to become a #1 draft pick by the Green Bay Packers and Goetz ended up going to the Vikings where he became a victim of Denny Greens great white purge. (you know the one where Keith Millard, Rick Finney and a number of other white players were purged by the "sheriff" Denny Green.

Interesting stuff from you guys. I have found that MN prep football is way underrated as a recruiting base.

There is SO MUCH talent in Minnesota High School footbal it is unbelievable. I live in the Lake Conference area and follow this conference and go to a game a week

Eden Prairie produces 2 or 3 D1 players every year, this is LB Sorensen(Wisconsin)McNaul(Northwestern)and a Lineman to MN, that I think that team if kept together could be a top 25 team in NCAA if recruited to MN. If not, the Lake Conference could definitely produce this.

Glen Mason is such a disappointing twat. He wants to bring in crap players from Ohio(that Ohio State,Penn State and Louisville don't want) and fails every year.

Tyler Rank's team ended up losing in justifying fashion. The black tailback replacing rank as the teams main RB is nicknamed "super mario". Well, super mario average about 2.5 yards a carry and fumbled a punt with less seconds left in a tie game. Mayo lost on a TD with 8 seconds left. Rank averaged what he has all season and last season; about ten yards per carry. Here are the game stats:

RUSHING -- Mayo, Tyler Rank 10-93, Mario Butler 13-35, Trevor Simmons 2-30, Andrew Valen 6-17.

Rank is 6'4" 230. "Super Mario" is all of 5'7" and 150.
 
Is it correct to assume that a white coach decided to make the RB switch? If true he should have his ass kicked out of MN.

Yep, then they would have to kick out nearly every coach of any MN city over a population of 50,000. The change on the football in the last five years has been stunning. Football is truly a copycat game - no orginal thoughts allowed. It's laughable that nearly every team of all sizable MN cities must start a black TB even if the kid looks like he's in 7th grade.
 
I am very close with the Rochester Mayo football program, and you people
have no idea about the situation.
 
Let me give you a little idea on the situation:

1.) Mario Butler did not move to Rochester out of the ordinary. He has
lived
in Rochester for a while, and been in the Mayo school district.

2.) Both players reached 1,000 yards. Rank was not complaining. Did he
mind? No. He still got a bulk of carries and reached 1,000 yards. Adding
Mario gave Mayo a whole new dimension. The combination of speed and
power was truly a treat to watch. No one in SW/SE rochester thought
different of a "black" running back taking over a white running backs
spot.

3.) If you think Tyler Rank would have transferred, you are completely
wrong. That kid has been playing with those seniors on Mayo's team since
4th grade. They accumlated a 40-0 record in the RYFA football league
(4th-8th grade). Some of those seniors have lost yes, just 3 games their
entire football career. The friendship between Tyler and Mayo's football
team is very strong, and to think he would have transferred is just
juvenile. He still got his 1,000 yards and was a star on defense. The kid
also was getting recruited by numerous D1 schools, including a couple
down south

4.) He is going to Nebraska on a baseball scholarship.Edited by: hoopsgalore

I know nothing about this other than what I am reading here.

But Hoopsgalore, you seem to justify the situation by saying the kid is "not complaining". Of course he is not complaining! No white athlete who gets bumped EVER complains and that's the problem.For some reason we have been bread to go along to get along even when we are dooming ourselves in the process. To speak out would be lead to instant ostracizing oneself, and what person wants to be subjected to that? Especially a high school kid?

Seems rather naive to me, on your part, to imply that because he's not complaining the situation is fine as is.

It's great he still ran for 1000 yards, but if what I am reading here is correct in that an ALL STATE RB got delegated to a platoon type of role, that is literally insane.

Educate me if I am missing something here, but you have got to think this sounds odd, and very, very caste-like. No?
 
Very well said, CSlewis1. What white athlete every complains? Interesting that as a reward for being with this team since "the fourth grade" and always having a top caliber team, including the year before, that he unexplicable gets his role reduced. Did it make his team better? NO. His reward for years of great football was a baseball scholarship? Huh?........

Of course no one did! Whites are all trained to be deracinated nudered she-men. Except us here at castefootball. Go teach your kids badminton, mine are going to play football.

BTW, any proof that you are "very close" to the Mayo program? Methinks you are just a trollin.
