ABC News Story

Must have been a slow news day. ABC News put out a propaganda piece courtesy of Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center Saturday night. Be sure to click the video link and watch how the victim/ defendant's race is the central issue. And how the story attacks the history and lifestyle of Linden, TX and east Texas in general.

This story is barely worthy of local coverage much less one of the lead pieces on the ABC Nightly News. Considering how many white victims of far greater crimes than a single punch are swept under the rug this is an arrogant way to show us that they decide what is news and there's nothing we can do about it.

"For most of his life, Billy Ray Johnson, a 42-year-old mentally challenged man who loved to dance and always wore a smile..."

How'd I know they were going to mention his smile?

As usual the story is completely one-sided. The people at the party (the only witnesses) say the black guy was beyond drunk, beligerent, harassing the ladies, and picking fights. After he got punched he basically passed out and laid on the ground. Still the white party goers tried to drive him back into town. The dude woke-up on the way and again was beligerent. They dropped him off on the side of the road and even called the cops to have him picked-up. Photos taken by the police show virtually no visible evidence of any sort of beating.

Had a group of black men treated a white guy the same way it would only be looked upon as an extreme act of kindness. Metals and award ceremonies would quickly transpire and those guys would be touted as national hereos.
