Hall of Famer
It was over 38 years ago when Marlin Briscoe became the first black QB to start an AFL game, and there is still no black QB legend like Montana, Starr, Marino, Staubach, Elway, Manning, Brady, Favre, Fouts, Tarkenton, Young, Unitas, Baugh, or even Conerly. When will it happen?
Most teenage football fans today couldn't tell you who Warren Moon is, and I bet most wouldn't know Randall Cunningham, let alone Doug Williams or Joe Gilliam. The best black QB's seem to fade into obscurity in the public minds. Why? Because they weren't that great. They aren't known for winning championships and being team leaders. Some of these guys may get into the Hall because of their skin tone, but most people would agree whites dominate the most important position, even after 20+ years of forced integration of the position.
