The Jets, and Woody Johnson, should be thankful the Cleveland Browns exist to draw attention away from being the most pathetic organization in the NFL. And it's fitting that the owner is phallically named, since he's been screwing the fanbase for decades. The first Caste Football preview of the Jets was in 2007. Since that season, the Jets have had 21 different quarterbacks start a game for them! In contrast, their divisional foe the Patriots have had 9. HC Aaron Glenn (black) and GM Darren Mougey (White) had a predictably lousy inaugural season. If they stink up the joint AGAIN, I'd expect Glenn to be on the hot seat, as fans were calling for his head last year already. It remains to be seen if Jets fans will be chanting "J-E-T-S, Just End The Season" by Halloween again, but I'm more interested to see if CF members will give 2 flying figs either way given the demographic configuration. Let's take a look.

So the Jets are virtually indistinguishable from last year's squad in terms of White athletes. A bump of 1.
As predicted, last year's Jets team set passing the football back decades with the futility of Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor and Brady Cook too if I'm being honest. So the QB room was overhauled with the acquisition of Geno Smith and the drafting of Cade Klubnik. The return of Geno Smith has mostly been meet with anger, frustration or despair by the fanbase due to the fact he sucked really badly last year and how awful he was as Jet in his early years. For those who may have forgotten, his 1st stint ended when he was sucker punched by a teammate over a small amount of money. #blackthings. Here's a summary:
As for Klubnik, one wonders if he can be a long term option for the always QB searching Jets. A former five-star recruit out of Westlake High School in Austin, Cade started three seasons at Clemson (2023-2025), peaking in 2024 with 3,639 yards, a 36:6 TD-to-INT ratio, and ACC Championship MVP honors, before a step back as a senior (2,943 yards, 16:6 TD-INT) amid a disappointing 7-6 finish. He wraps up his college career 4th all-time at Clemson in total offense, with 40 starts, 10,132 passing yards, and 73 touchdowns. The Jets drafted him in the 4th round (110th overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft, and OC Frank Reich, who pushed for drafting him, has praised his aptitude for the game and his ability to make big plays. Hopefully he gets to make some starts this season and can convince the team he can be a starter next year.
As for the rest of the offense, hardliners will not root for rookie starter Mason Taylor and that is fine. He looks White but his dad is HoF DE Jason Taylor of Miami Dolphin fame. Jason was probably half White at least so Mason should be 3/4 or more White. Backup Jeremy Ruckert is a local guys who's been around for a bit but has been over-drafted by 2 guys now. I doubt he has much impact once again. On the line the Jets are addicted to drafting sumos like Israelis are to bombing hospitals. They can't find a good QB nor draft good lineman. With that said, a 2/5ths White line is actually an improvement for the Jets. Josh Myers and Joe Tippmann return as starters. Josh Meredith is a former Raiders starter and provides good interior depth. Andrew Beck returns as the human battering ram, so don't expect him to touch the ball too often. Bailey Zappe was crappy (in preseason) and is therefore the 3rd string PS QB instead of the QB2.
On defense, the Jets return their 2 White players. DT Harrison Phillips, one of the team captains, is a highly productive and respected veteran. If DT wasn't a "black protected" position, there would be Harrison types on every NFL team. Sadly, he's one of the few starters we have. DE/Edge Braiden McGregor is a former UDFA returning for his 3rd year. Let's hope that Braiden performs well when called upon, as his roster spot is on thin ice. He's now the 5th Edge rusher and was rated poorly by Crissy's player rating monopoly last year.
Once again the Jets are providing pure slop in the form of entertainment. Nothing is likely to change as long as the pea-brained, "conservative" Woody Johnson owns and runs (ruins?) the team. I'd say we can hope for them to crash and burn and clear the deck again, but what's the point? They'll just bring in another Caste Clown. Wash, rinse, repeat.
