i’m not the man to craft the heart of this thread, but it deserves to get going. so please accept my offering.

Iowa transfer (from two-time FCS national champion South Dakota State) Mark Gronowski set two records in the Hawkeyes comeback win over Rutgers.

first, an NCAA record: Gronowski expanded his Division I all-time best mark of victories as a starting QB. He's now got 52 after tallying his first 49 at South Dakota State.

as for the Iowa history, no Hawkeye quarterback had run for a touchdown in four-consecutive games since 1968. until Gronowski matched it.

from an online article:
Gronowski rushed for two of his three touchdowns in a three-and-a-half minute span with less than six minutes remaining in Friday's game to go from down a score to winning 38-28.

He totaled 186 passing yards (12-for-18) to go with 55 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.

Gronowski was hoped to be an offensive jolt for a program without a lot of firepower in recent years, and maybe in the first week or two, it looked iffy whether that would come to fruition.

But now, Gronowski is starting to click, and it's a fun time to be a Hawkeyes fan.
