After LSU's 8th Omaha CWS Baseball Championship in 35 years + Cooper Flagg going #1 in the NBA Draft it's full steam ahead!
Always have enjoyed College Football Magazines since i was a kid.
2024 only had Two White DB's in the NFL Draft; but BOTH High picks in the 2 Round....
Corner Back (another) Cooper Dejean (Iowa/ Eagles 40th overall) & Cole Bishop (Utah/ Bills 59th)
The 2025 NFL Draft also had just 2 White DBs taken...
but much later in the Draft in Round 7 Dan Jackson (UGA/Lions 230th) & Hunter Wohler (Wisconsin/Seahawks 232nd)
though a positive ; Rookie Free Agency seemed to have more Depth (Hook ; Volk; Clark; Howell; Schultte; McCormick; Henderson; Gifford ; Brooks etc)
According to CF research...since 2000 there have never been more than 4 DBs taken ; would like to see that change ; just not sure when

The 2025 season looks like a positive the first 4 shown below all have future NFL talent ; however they are in different Classes
Dillon Thieneman (Jr.) 6'-0 207 Oregon ( transfer Purdue)
Big time Safety ...some Mock Drafts 1st Round ..ran 4.47 in a workout in '22 ; now as fast as 4.36??
As a Sophomore At Purdue (2024) Led all Big Ten defensive backs with 104 tackles on the season while starting all 12 games
As a Freshman led the team with 106 tackles, 74 of the solo -- breaking Rod Woodson's school record for a Freshman; tying for 5th nationally
6 INTs tied for 3rd in FBS

Played in and started 10 games … Saw action on 647 plays (582 defense, 65 special teams) …
Had 48 tackles, including 1.5 for loss, to go along with 3 INTs , 8 PBUs , forced fumble and fumble recovery

Tanner Wall (Sr.) 6'1" 205 BYU
In ' 24 Free Safety had 53 tackles, grabbing a team-high 3 INTs & allowing a 55.2 opposing passer rating in coverage.
