For Thursday Nite Football this week we have a nearly unwatchable blackfest featuring the Houston Texans at the New York Jets. Looking at the latest Texans depth chart they are the same ugly assembly as previewed by Freethinker in his 2024 team writeup. The only starters are TE Dalton Schultz and LB Jake Hanson, although Hanson is actually listed as 2nd string behind injured starter Christian Harris.

The Jets aren't really any better. They have Aaron Rodgers at QB and Tyler Conklin at TE. At least they have ONE offensive lineman that is lighter-hued in C Joe Tippman. Defense is a whites-need-not-apply fare.

I root for Rodgers to do well but I really don't like this team. And I like the Texans even less, however QB CJ Stroud is refreshingly upfront with his faith. Maybe they can tie, it's pretty close to the same thing as both teams losing.

I hate it when we get the day's only game that is completely unwatchable.
Maybe they'll set an NFL record for most combined penalties in a game. The number of penalties this season has been ridiculous.

Fatass Tunsil has 13 penalties alone on the year. Sumo OL getting Stroud killed.

This game has been even worse than predicted. Endless penalties, several injured players already, fumbles, sacks, inaccurate passes, to use a currently popular word, the game has been garbage so far.

Hot garbage. I’ll try and make it until half.

On the plus side, Kurt Hinish appears to be healthy and in the d-line rotation for Houston.

...that being said, not much going on here either for our guys or in terms of watchable football.

The very first pass of the game from Rodgers to the wide receiver who was open was 5 yards out of bounds. It hasn't gotten any better since then.

Idiot rookie drops the ball before scoring, a bonehead play committed over the years only by WGAs.

Haha Jets suck for a reason! I’d cut that bum at halftime. Get a high IQ overachiever in there instead.

I remember when coaches had balls, like Jimmy Johnson, and if you’re ******* around taunting the fans during a play, or dropping the ball at the one, you can walk home.
