Since 2006 the Golden Gophers have started 11, 9, 10, , 8, 10, 8, 11, 9, 11, 19, 7, 6 and 7 white starters. In 2019 they look to be at 7 again.
The TE’s should all see the field but they’re battling with a black TE also who is more of a pass catcher and the two white guys are more of blockers. All should see plenty of time.
LB Thomas Rush was once committed to Bowling Green as a RB but now he’s a super athletic linebacker for Minnesota. I could see him as the next Blake Cashman, he’s the top backup behind two returning LB’s.
Offense
QB Tanner Morgan
*TE Jake Paulson or Ko Kieft
LT Sam Schlueter
LG Blaise Andries
C Conner Olson
Defense
EDGE Carter Coughlin
DT Sam Renner
Players to watch:
QB Jacob Clark, QB Cole Kramer, WR Clay Geary, WR Harry Van Dyne, OL Nate Umlor, OL John Michael Schmitz, OL Austin Beier, DT Noah Hickcox, ILB Josh Aune, LB Thomas Rush, S Calvin Swenson
