Did not realize veteran DB Jim Leonhard was playing for the Browns...he was getting plenty of reps with the 1st Team today. Ourlads list him 2nd Team on Depth Chart. Starting OLB Paul Kruger looks to improve on his 4.5 sacks from last season...
DB Joe Haden & other defensive players really liked QB's Johnny Manziel's performance today in the teams scrimmage...though only going 6 for 17 (3 were drops)...he is a playmaker extend plays with his feet. It's said he's closing the gap on Brian Hoyer...Undrafted rookie QB Connor Shaw has very good mobility & could land #3 or at least the practice squad...get a shot w another team down the road or as Manziel's back-up.
Jordan Cameron is a big time TE catching 80 passes & 7 TD's last year...besides him WHO would Manziel throw to? Josh Gordon who led the NFL in receiving yardage last season could be facing a facing suspension!
The all White O-Line continues to be the teams strong point led by Pro Bowl Left Tackle Joe Thomas(8th year) 6'-6" 312 & Center Alex Mack. Rookie Joel Botonio will bring his mean streak any where else on the O-Line he wants to!
The Browns look to start possibly 8 whites on Offense with 2 TE Sets(Cameron & Dray) instead of a Fullback...& hopefully 2 whites on Defense start(Kruger & Leonhard)...LB-Tank Carder looks to be the only other white player on Defense in training camp; however is currently on reserve list for some reason?
