Runningbacks:
not much to discuss here, the only ones that were even allowed to carry the ball were Evans and Alstott, and even then only under certain circumstances... Hopefully within next few years with prospects like Peyton Hillis, Brian Leonard. Owen Scmitt, Adam Ballard and Kyle Bell and possible return of Kyle Eckell this situation will change for better... it can't get any worse, and if Alstott retires, which seems possible by this point we might have to wait long time for another white runningback to rush for a TD or 100 yards in the NFL...

Mike Alstott, FB Buccaneers: 34 attacks for 80 yards, 6 TDs; 25 catches for 222 yards and a TD
comments: 16th in the league in rushing TDs, in spite of being used very sparingly by Gruden (also had 2 TDs called back in recent weeks due to irrelevant penalties); scored 2 TDs and a 2 point conversion in last seconds of Bucs-Redskins game that gave Bucs the win by 1 point

Heath Evans, FB Dolphins/Patriots: 52 attacks for 192 yards; 14 receptions for 105 yards</font>
comments: after being released by Dolphins he was a featured back in couple of games for NE, when both Faulk and Dillon went down and did a solid job for a guy that hardly ever touched a ball since early Auburn days

Major disappointments: Brad Hoover-not getting any attention from coaches at all; Dan Kreider-not even scraps fro this powerful runner; Jim Finn-not enough looks from Eli in receiving game
