Hey guys, just wanted to make a post about tonight's fight card going down in Montreal, Quebec, at the Bell Centre. The card is being broadcasted on ESPN2's Friday Night Fights. (Shown in Canada tonight at midnight Eastern Standard Time on TSN2, channel 98).

The Main Event is featuring white French Canadian Kevin Bizier, 19-0 (13 KO) going up against American Negro veteran Nate Campbell, 36-9-1 (26 KO). Bizier has some decent wins on his record, (Tyner, Bladt, Lucero) but this is a big step up in opposition level for him and it will be interesting to see how he handles it! I'd like to see him win it, but I think it will be a hard fight for him. This is a "make or break" type fight for him, Campbell is a legit veteran with a lot of know-how and top level experience, so lets what Bizier is made of.

I'll be optimistic and say I hope Bizier can box a decision win, but it will be difficult for him! To be honest, I think in Bizier's interest, he would have been better served to have a few more fights against journeymen before stepping up to this level. I think he could have used 1 or 2 more 10 round fights before this test.

In the supporting bout, white Canadian Tyler Asselstine, 12-0 (7 KO) - a guy who Ive seen fight in the past- is fighting Canadian Arab Baha Laham, 10-0-1 (4 KO) - a guy Ive also seen fight before. I would favour Asselstine in this fight, Laham has looked slow, and unenergetic the times Ive seen him fight. Asselstine has impressed me when Ive seen him fight, he's scored some nice KO's which is good and shows he has power!

On the undercard, Filipino-Canadian Marc Pagcaliwangan, 2-0 (2 KO) will also be fighting Hungarian Laszlo Fekete, 6-0 (5 KO). Apparently this is a swing bout which may or may not be shown on TV depending on the schedule of the two main fights. What's cool about this fight is that I personally know and have trained with Pagcaliwangan's trainer. His name is "Soc", he's Filipino Canadian and he's a decent trainer as well.

I don't know Marc personally, but I do know his trainer quite well, because Ive spent a lot of time in boxing gyms around Toronto and his trainer actually trained me for a bit in some boxing classes. When I knew him, say 2 or 3 years ago, he was just kinda getting started in fitness clubs. It's cool to see someone you know on Friday Night Fights lol! So I will be watching that fight and will be interested to see how it goes. This Hungarian guy they are fighting looks very strong, and I don't think he is European white. Rather, he looks Turkish.

You don't often see two undefeated young guys fighting each other, and theyre both in great shape with excellent KO ratios. That will be one to see! Ive seen a few youtube videos of the Hungarian and his shots seem to be a bit wide. That's not good though. A good jab and boxing skills will beat that. Pagcaliwangan apparently has some decent AM background, that will help him.

Should be a good evening of boxing and it's great to see boxing booming in Montreal!

I'm hoping Bizier and Asselstine come out with wins, Asselstine I'm confident will win, Bizier fight is a bit uncertain. Pagcaliwangan-Fekete... May the best man win!

I used to go up to Montreal. Great city - but they were deliberately flooding it with blacks.

I don't like the name they've given this event. Fast and Furious was the code name that Barry Soetoro alias President Barak Hussein Obama and Holder gave to their little business deal of sending massive amounts of high powered weapons to their Mexican drug cartel partners. But they desperately want to disarm the honest people of the USA - like they did the honest people of Mexico.

More bad judging. :(

Asselstine clearly won the fight and but the home boxer was given the MD.

Very good performance by Kevin Bizier. He looks like a bona-fide welterweight contender.

Yes, I used to live in Montreal and very often in the Summer I go there on Holiday. Last Summer 2012, I went there on 2 or 3 different holidays. Montreal is a gorgeous city and in the summer nothing beats it!

Montreal has a decent sized Haitian (black) community, but still the percentage of whites is much higher in Montreal than say, Toronto or Vancouver. Montreal is the closest resemblance Canada has to a "European City". I'm not sure of exact numbers, but % of whites in Montreal is probably close to 70 or 75%, which is good considering its an urban area of 3 Million+. (Toronto is less than 50% white, and several years back newspapers ran articles saying that "visible minorities" now constitute a cumulative majority in Toronto).

Montreal has a booming boxing community and always has! I'm a huge boxing fan so I appreciate that.

More bad judging.

Yes, it's unfortunate and I had Asselstine winning the fight. I will admit many rounds were hard to score, there was a lot of clinching, in fighting, and it was a messy fight to watch, but I thought Tyler won it 96-94. Obvious hometown decision. Surely had the fight been in Ontario, Tyler would have won.

Very good performance by Kevin Bizier. He looks like a bona-fide welterweight contender.

It's the first time Ive ever seen Kevin Bizier fight, so I didn't know what to expect, but he looked absolutely amazing. He was in excellent physical condition, he was aggressive, confident, and he was hurting Campbell along the ropes. Couldn't ask for more. The stoppage was icing on the cake. "Nate Campbell" is a credible name to have as an opponent, former unified world champion, so this win really means a lot to advance Bizier! TKO win no less.

Bizier's jab, left hooks, body shots, right hand, everything was there and he just seems like a "full arsenal" type fighter. I was really impressed with this guy and in beating Campbell, he's just proven himself as a serious contender and likely future champion. I'll definitely be watching his fights from here on.

He looked excellent though and we can add another great fighter from Montreal!
