What an epic outcome! I turned this game off before halftime - it was a certain outcome. I really whiffed by missing Braylon Mullins in my preview. I haven't been keeping tabs on the internet "draft boards" - mostly a year of Test Tube Freaks, as usual - but it would be great if Mullins came...

UFC Fight Night: Adesanya Vs. Pyfer

I don't care for chick fights, but this KO -> sub was pretty sweet!

TEST TUBE FREAKS!!! Hmmm, an awful lot of commercials with Duke's Boozer brothers during this week's game intermissions. They are definitely earning more than just what Duke's university-associated NIL collective is paying out. "From the mouths of babes" is a common turn of phrase. In this...

    Mac McClung

Mac is trending on Twitter tonight. Apparently, he became the top career points-scorer in G-League history: I don't recall seeing this from last month: Mac recorded the dunks he "would have" done in the Dunk Contest this season. I am assuming he monetized this content in some way that exceeded...

Coaching carousel updates: Randy Bennett of St. Mary's has been hired by Arizona State Gerry McNamara of Siena has been hired by Syracuse Scott Cross of Troy has been hired by Georgia Tech All three of these coaches made the tournament with "white-friendly" rotations and rosters. None of the...

I didn't realize that the Miami (FL) coach Jai Lucas was the only black head coach in the round of 32! Whitlock doesn't count Houston's Kelvin Sampson (I sure do though), who calls himself Native American. There were nine other black head coaches in the field of 68; none of them made the 2nd round.

Darling's layup seals St. John's tournament win over Kansas (reminder that this is the only white player on the team)

Iowa vanquishes Florida tonight at the death. Alvaro Folgueiras, the sixth man from Spain (possibly Basque?) puts in the dagger before the final bell. Florida can't respond in time. I'll be interested to see what kind of team Todd Golden fields next year.

Backup guard Dylan Darling finds himself on the floor for some reason at the end of the St. Johns / Kansas game. He's the only white player that's been on the court for some time now... foul trouble to the starters? He decides to end the game himself.

4 seed Nebraska's win was closer than it needed to be over 5 seed Vandy. Substitute Braden Frager (a true freshman, and you can guess how low his high school recruiting ranking was) finished strong. Vanderbilt almost won it for the bad guys at the buzzer: A great Madness set of moments!

This afternoon, the studio brought in Oz "The Mentalist" Pearlman to do some fake mind-reading stunts. I thought it was funny that the blacks all hooted and howled - there's a trope that blacks freak out over magic tricks. Barkley and company were all too happy to do the minstrel show for the...

We're all familiar with African-Americans, but who's ever heard of an Indian-Canadian? (Too many Canadians, I'd bet) St. Louis sophomore Ishan Sharma scored 8 points off the bench today against Michigan (he transferred from Virginia this offseason). His parents moved to Toronto in search of...

I went easy in my writeup of Alabama this year. While coach Nate Oats insists on an all-black roster composition, at least this year's Crimson Tide went four months without any felony arrests. They are known to feature literal murderers, after all. Well, that changed this week as second-leading...

Wisconsin's black guards took 40 out of 65 team shots. Their last two possessions were isolation calls where the black guy puts his head down and drives with no plan - one blocked shot and one ugly missed layup.

Quiet game relatively for Peter Suder, who was named by ESPN as the 50th best player in the tournament (awful ratings overall). I hope he's saving up some extra juice for the Friday showdown against Tennessee! Best games tomorrow featuring the most white players: Troy vs Nebraska at 12:40pm...

Thank you for correcting me! I'm quite sure I looked right past him due to his parents having spelled his first name incorrectly. I didn't watch any UConn games this year - Mullins seems like a stud that they lean on pretty heavily. I will amend my write-up! Edit: it's as if my oversight never...

@Freethinker @Snow Plow you fellows are very kind to me. The opening threads preclude me from too much creativity, but I wanted to pop in Penn's TJ Power's performance in the Ivy League championship game. 44 points in the overtime win including this buzzer-beater: Sometimes, one guy wills...

West Regional 1 Arizona Tommy Lloyd spent most of his career as Mark Few’s assistant at Gonzaga. Presently, he earns double Few’s salary, coaching the Wildcats to top seeds regularly. I think about this sometimes. Lithuanian center Motiejus Krivas averages 10.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.8...
