    2013 Indoor Track Season Results

Sorry to nitpick but Ã…strands PB is 20.50 and the Finnish record is 20.47 (ran by Tommi Hartonen who also owns the Finnish NR in 100m, 10.21). Actually Jonathan started training seriously around 3 years ago, he ran sub-11 at the age of 17 with only skateboarding background :D He is very...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

True. People have been calling him to hit the weights and the result is here. Lifting heavy weights doesn't make one great sprinter, I know this from experience. Weight training for sprints doesnt suit everyone, it tends to make some people stiff and Christophe's running here certainly looked...

    2013 Indoor Track Season Results

Angel David Rodriguez of Spain just ran a blazing 6,55 and a new Spanish record, incredible performance for the 32 year old spaniard, Reus followed in with a decent 6.60. I actually I consider Rodriguez 6,55 even better 100m-wise than Tumi's 6,53 because Tumi seems more like a 60m specialist...

    2013 Indoor Track Season Results

Forget Lemaitre. Michael Tumi of Italy ran a blistering 6.53 equalling the world leading time today in Magglingen, Switzerland.

    Watch list

Jonathan Ã…strand I'd like to add another interesting name to this thread, 25 year old Finnish Jonathan Ã…strand has been training seriously for a couple of years now and is really showing some serious talent. He has ran a 10.26 in the 100m and 20.50 in the 200m early in to the season. 200 is...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Actually Dwain and Christophe would've both ran a 9.99 with the same reaction time :)

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Oops a big mistake there, actually the reaction time was 0.195 which isnt good either.. I dont know where the finnish commentators got the 0.248... http://www.sportresult.com/sports/la/framework/user_files/2010/bergen/pdf/re0010041.pdf

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

No-one has brought up the fact that his reaction time yesterday was atrocious at best, they said on the finnish broadcast it was 0.248, which means with a decent start he would've reduced about _TENTH_ of a second of his time!!!

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Lemaitre will probably run in the 4 x 100m competition later this evening.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

He has run 4 times sub 10.10 (2x 10.09, 10.06, 10.04) so it will only be a matter of time if he stays healthy..

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

He ran a decent race in great conditions. In the replay it showed (a split screen of him and Powell running ) his effort was too forced/unnatural his cheeks and facial expressions showed that. When you are sprinting fast you HAVE to be relaxed, anyone who is familiar with sprinting knows this...
