    Whitlock: Hip-hop culture hurting NFL

That's America. Puritan streak a mile wide, and man, Americans just love to cheer on a celeb's screw ups. So Brady's girl got preggers...BFD. They're both celebs, and honestly, if I was Brady, I wouldn't be looking to get married either. Not until it was on my terms, after my NFL career was...

    NFL in another "quarterback crisis"?

The real shame is that with all those QB injuries, Billy volek is riding the pine behind Phillip Rivers, when he could be starting for any number of teams. Meanwhile black scrubs get chance after chance...

    worse team owners in sports

Dan Snyder for the 'Skins. Great businessman, but a bad owner who's dazzled by stars.

    Ebay Story

I've had excellent luck with ebay and paypal. I've only been screwed once, for just a few bucks, with about 500 transactions, mostly as a buyer. One seller even missed my email, and doubled my order free to make up for the week he had my money and didn't realise it. Hell, I just bought a new...

    Hispanic heritage month

I agree heartily! I know I'd hate to be English! Thankfully, I'm of Scottish descent...golf and single malt Scotch! Has any other people done as much?

    NFL in another "quarterback crisis"?

They ought to look instead at the dearth of talent at receiver and O-line. Those two things can break a QB, no matter how good he is, especially when so many are black.

    Lofty Expectations

Bah. Cooley already with 4 TDs, even if his yards are low due to having to stay in and block. Can't stand the 'Skins yet a Riggo fan? You must've cheered for the Jets.

    2007 NFL Week 6

In the Saints-Seahawks game, did no one else notice the comment about Devery Henderson(IIRC)? 'Great play-making ability, but his downside is his hands!' That should never be a wideouts downside! It fits in well with JB's column. He's not fast, or not a good route runner, or can't get easy...

    2007 NFL Week 6

Cooley, depsite his lack of yds from having to stay in and block, is on pace for at least 10 TDs. They said that since he came into the league, no tight end aside from Antonio Gates has had more TDs. As for Shockey, he might be well be the most complete TE in the league, but I'd take...

    Brian Leonard 23

There's no stigma against wearing a jersey with a white tailback. DC, which is heavily black, sees plenty of Riggo jerseys.

Three cheers to Tiki & Rhonde Barber

I've heard the Barber Shop a few times, but only Ronde. Glad to hear they talked up Leonard and Sehorn.

    Brian Leonard 23

That's what scares me when white players are on offense. Bunch of PO'd black guys looking to cripple them. As for Leonard, so happy to see him have a great game against the Cards. Some pissy little Cards fan with experience at 'the next level' and I got into it over Leonard during the draft...

Why We Are Insane To Follow The NFL

You pretty much nailed why the league is so popular. The games and teams are usually too close to call. There are a few standout teams, and a few bottom feeders, but most games, there is some suspense about who will win.

    2007 NFL Week 2

Black wideouts dropped several crucial passes in the Jets' game.

    rough week for black QB’s

Not just as a 'Skins fan, but I think Jason campbell is going to be the second best black QB in the league. McNabb has his flaws, but is a serviceable starting QB in the NFL, not among the top QBs, but certainly not one I'd have riding pine either. Campbell is about the blend of what I'd...

    2007 NFL Week 2

Heap is a god, by the standards white are normally measured by. I don't think I've heard any real criticism of him, even his drop last week just got Boller and Billick's playcalling flak, but Heap was spared. Even black sportswriters seem to like Heap.

    ESPN special on Vince Young

At least he had respectable QB stats this week. I think the Titans will do OK anytime Young stinks the place up, but if his numbers are good, it means the opposing D is giving up easy stuff.

    Madden 2008 observations...

That would be Madden's fantasy draft. Aside from RB and CB, you can manage it. You can change player positions within reason, as well, but initially, you have to draft 4 safeties, 4 corners, etc. For the PC version, you can also modify player stats. Not sure if the console versions allow...

    Madden 2008 observations...

Matt Giordano is only a mid to high 80s for speed as well.

    Madden 2008 observations...

Finally got the game. Sabby Piscatelli is rated around a 90+ for speed, but not a great tackler. Brian Leonard is nothing special, ratings-wise. Heath Evans is listed as a tailback for position, and is considered 'speedy'. Steve Gregory was the only white CB I saw, no Dustin Fox. The top...

    White Offensive Linemen

To be fair to Reed, he had just played a defensive series, returned the punt for a TD, and was going back out on defense again.

    Racial Tensions in Colorado Community

No, to the Japs, you're Japanese or not. My wife wouldn't count, as she was neither born there nor is she wholly Japanese. Germans(including my great grandfather) were questioned by authorites as well. Not to mention the backlash against German sounding names, etc. You got it. My...

    Racial Tensions in Colorado Community

Doesn't matter a bit to me whether they're smart enough to understand it or not. I don't want their f**king race war, or to have to justify myself to them for marrying a half-white girl. They're just as much a threat to me and mine as any hoodrat out there, far as I'm concerned. If that's...
