Upper body power is very important and helps in the start/acceleration phase.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

He needs to work on his acceleration and power first 30-40 meters, not his last 50 meters.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

I am basing my response via translation...Vicaut's top end speed is not much better than Lemaitre's, the difference is Vicaut has a better start (1st 30m) and reaches top speed earlier in the race and maintains it, mostly because he is probably much stronger. Reaction time has nothing to do...

Dave Sime is Christian McCaffery's (the Stanford RB) Grandfather (his Mom's dad)...thats were he gets his speed from.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

Vicaut had +1.7 wind in the final...Lemaitre should of got close to 10 flat in the final had he participated

    2016 Outdoor Track Season

Teeters is not that good, neither is Kilty... Guliyev comes on strong towards the end of the season, Rues is very surprising and has a shot to run 9.99.... Lemaitre is still better than all of them. He just needs to believe in himself. He looked a little better today running a 10.09, hopefully...

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

Jimmy may break the Euro record today with a 9.82-9.85, and Lemaitre surprisingly looks pretty good with under 10.10...maybe there is a chance for me to eat my words. If Leamaitre can run a 9.99 today, legal, I will partially apologize to rcsman.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

Its his own fault, after 5 years of excuses you would think he would have the intelligence to try a different method under a different coach etc, even for 1 year just to say 'hey I tried a different approach, it may or may not work, but at least I tried'.....he is so stuck up Caraz's crusty old ass.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

I think he is ducking Vicaut in the 200 as the 200 is Lemaitre's bread and butter and it would kill him to lose the 200 to Vicaut. The 100 is expected as Caraz already made it clear to Lemaitre years ago he could never beat the best in the 100...Gotta love that Caraz!

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

Don't bother posting facts, as rcsman will just claim you are a ignorant xenophobe and that Master Pierre Caraz training supersedes everything, even common sense.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

Bud, if Christophe runs both sub 10 and sub 20 This year I will gadly praise Caraz and apologize to my pal rcsman. I have said this every year. I want to be proven wrong.

Kilty is not that good and wont run sub 10. he dosent have that finishing kick top end speed...he does a have a good start though. Vicaut will run 9.7 soon

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

He still has some minimal time, all he has to do is grow some balls, dump Carraz and ask for help. Its very easy, and there would be lots of top trainers willing to work with him.

Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80! -- Part Two

He He dosent need to go to a far away lan d for a long period of time. Schippers came to the USA for about 2-3 months and that is where they discovered her potential to be a Top world class 100-200 meter sprinter. 2-3 months off season under a different coach and approach will not hurt but...

There is no rationalizing with RCSMAN, he cares only Christophe stay in France under the guidance of Master Carraz. Thats more important than improving and winning.
