I agree. He is a bigtime player.

    Dylan Chynoweth - RB - 2010

He reminds me a lot of Danny Woodhead without the "gumby" like running style. Maybe not as smooth as you'd like...runs a little stiff, but at his size he can get away with it.

RB Drew Phillips (Class of 2010)

Says BYU and Wyoming are equal right now on his list, although admits that BYU has been rising. http://byu.scout.com/2/859389.html Reports offers from BYU, Wyoming, and Idaho, and expects to be offered shortly by UAB, Troy, and SMU. Will camp at BYU, Wyoming, and Michigan.

    Joe Martinek

Joe had 79 yards and 3 TDs in the Spring Game. Also, CB/WR JT Tartacoff (considered the fastest prospect in NJ) made a commitment to Rutgers. http://rutgers.scout.com/a.z?s=183&p=2&c=857661

Don't forget Jurovich from SJSU. He was granted a medical redshirt for last year.

    BCS Under Fire

I support the BCS for the simple fact that I never want to be associated as being on the same side of anything as comrade Pelosi or Frank.

    NFL Combine

He had good numbers in 2007, but NIU had a freshmen QB in 2008 and was much more conservative on offense. I've seen Simon in person. Honestly did not "wow" me, but I think he can play in the NFL.

    Jake Sharp

Dwid, I know you're probably really busy with those videos, but if you ever get a chance I think you may want to look into producing one for Montana's Chase Reynolds. I know he's only a redshirt junior this year, but you can find plenty of footage of him on YouTube if you search for Montana...

Scout.com Profile Listed at 6'0, 185-lbs and running a 4.49. Ran for 2,196 yards and 18 TDs last season. Must see highlights Seems to be a back who will pick up a number of offers between now and camp season, although a number will come as an ATH. Holds offers from BYU and Wyoming right...

    White RBs 2009

Yes, Finnerty started opposite Shun White at SB, and Kettani was the starting fullback, or "B" back as they are known in the flexbone (slots are called "A" backs). Speaking of players looking for another year of eligability from the NCAA, I think Kevin Jurovich (WR, SJSU) is going to get a...

    White RBs 2009

Got ya, glad we're on the same page. Just know that it is incredibly rare for true freshmen to play at SA's; especially if they don't go to the prep school first. Don't expect to see guys like Snelson even on the varsity roster; especially when guys like Doyle and Finnerty have been working...

    White RBs 2009

Tough, Shinego was a senior last year for Navy. Doyle and Finnerty look like the likely starters at slotback, at least going into the spring. The fullback battle will be wide open. Snelson won't play as a plebe. There is too much in the pipe and non-prep school freshmen hardly ever play with...

    NFL Combine

Ian Johnson being biracial aside, the fact that he had dropped to a 7th-round/FA type because of question about his speed shows you how little many of these "experts" know. Frankly I'm happy he put up the numbers he did; it makes the same guys who proliferate the continued inflation of 40 times...

You are correct. Often it's the reporters and other news sources which will cite "unofficial" times and not the official times.

    Craig Sanders from Ariton, Alabama

I don' like getting caught up in slotting people by height/weight, but nobody is goin to work with a kid who is 6'5 at running back. At that size he sounds like a 3-4 OLB or a TE.

some observations of college signing day

They don't always travel out "to the islands." There are many people of polynesian ancestry living in Utah and having success at the high school level. Wow, imagaine that, a program recruiting kids from its own state! Also, I really wish you'd rethink your first statement. I know what you...
