JL or anyone else, you may have covered this already, but what's the word on Duke's recruiting class next season? If Allen leaves, that will leave only Kennard as a consistent starter.
Yeah, I've commented before about him only being a junior. He can stay at Duke for his senior season and quote, redeem himself for all the haters. Normally, I wouldn't suggest this, but it may be a better option in order for him to move back in to the first round. In hind sight, he probably...
I hate to be negative, but that stinks!! I'm 50 been through Cancer and I can do 18-20 on a good day! I used to do 14 reps with 315lbs. My son could do 16-18,(225lbs.) as a 17 year old. Very disappointing!
From last season some of the whiter teams were, Washington, San Francisco, and LA Dodgers. I'm sure there are some others. Among the blackest teams were the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox, however with trades going on this can change.
Right Shadowlight and Dwight Evans seems to always be the forgotten Red Sock. He did play his entire career, (with the last being the exception) in Boston. He ended up having the better overall career than Lynn. He had many solid years and was on track for a monster year in the strike shortened...
As I mentioned in my earlier post, Burroughs was the AL MVP in 1974 and played in the AL through 1976, did a few years in the NL and then returned to the AL. Point is taken, not too many stars. As also mentioned Conigliaro would have been a huge star if not for his injury.
I probably remember Dwight Evans best as a star white outfielder although his career lasted into the late 80's and early 90's he had 3 golden glove years in the 70's. Evans had one of the strongest arms I've ever seen, a cannon. Other pretty good white outfielders of the 70's were, Jeff...
In looking at the history of this thread and after reading Don's comment on white purge about Czonka and Riggins being some of the last feature RB's, 100 yard games, 1,000 yard seasons, etc. It made me think about the 1970's Oakland Raiders who had 3 white RB's on their 1975 roster who all...
I think this out of Houston, A transgender boy wins the Texas 6A state wrestling championship, beating up on girls to win. I'm surprised Texas hasn't put a stop to this insanity. This kid is 17 years old and receiving treatments for his transition into a female, I guess. What parent in their...
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke, 21:28.
Right Ambrose. I hope my fellow Christian brother BeyondFedUp returns! There's no need for discouragement. According to the Bible these things must come to pass. The...
Not much going on today other than college basketball, so I was watching the Genesis Open and Dustin Johnson leads at -10 after rain delayed round 2. If he hangs on and wins and Jason Day finishes worse than third, he becomes the number 1 player in the world.
Also, I got to play a full round of...
Does anyone here want to guess what and who is the lead story on The PGA Tour website this week? I'll give you a hint. He's currently ranked 693rd in the world and is not even playing in this weeks event.
Jordan Spieth wins the AT & T at Pebble Beach, becoming just the second golfer since WW II to win 9 tournaments at age 23 or younger. Let's hope he gets back on the 2015 pace and wins at least one Major this year!
Yes, have been following them.
Also, Mason Plumlee just traded to Denver from Portland for Jusuf Nuric. Denver has 5 whites on their roster. Denver may be another team to watch being that they could potentially be starting 3 of the 5, Jokic at center, Plumlee at PF and Gallinari at SF.
Charlotte...
Jordan Spieth, -17, takes a 6 shot lead over Brandt Snedeker and 7 shots over Dustin Johnson headed into the final round of the AT & T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. Be nice to see Spieth have another dominate season like he did in 2015 or at the very least redeem himself and get that green jacket back.
Yes, former Governor Pat McCrory passed the HB2 bill, however, he lost his bid for re-election, really strange how that happened by the way. The new Governor, Roy Cooper ran hard on repealing the bill and don't know if it helped that President Trump said he'd be a friend to the LGBT community...
