In my opinion, we are heading towards a Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays World Series match-up. I expect Los Angeles to hit more efficiently in the NLCS than they did against Atlanta. LA is built for the best of 7 NLCS, which begins tomorrow.

The "Guardians" knock off the White Sox in the decisive Game 5 to move on to the ALCS.

The White Sox struck out 21 times and scored zero runs. Again, this is a sport that has changed in not a few negative ways in the last 30 or so years but it was still entertaining to watch. Having seen a World Series game in person -- which seems a century ago given that the Pirates were in it playing the Orioles back in '79, along with a few playoff games -- it's a great atmosphere, especially when the home team wins.

When Cleveland selected Gavin Williams 23rd overall, out of East Carolina in the 2021 draft, that was an example of a team that strongly coveted a player. Anyone who mildly follows the first 5/6 rounds of each draft, count myself in that category, can attest to the numerous fantastic college pitching prospects that fall to the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds. The good news is that maybe half of them are selected by the 10 or 11 major league teams with superior minor league development/fine-tuning of pitchers.

Gavin Williams has become the horse for Cleveland that they forecasted.

Brewers up 2-0 on the Dodgers in NLCS!!. So many talented overachievers on both squads. But I’ll be pulling for Milwaukee, and their modest budget to win over the billion dollar LA lineup.
