Honkey Konkey the speedster. Gotta love itBennett Konkey ran a 10.39 to win the Illinois 3-A 100-meter championship. He has a personal best of 10.25. He also plays football.
Here's Camden Capehart at the top of Boy's High School 100m list.
Andrew Jones of Texas and Josh Hamblin of Utah, came 1st and 2nd in the 110m hurdles at the Brooks PR Invitational (high school).
Jones ran 13.14 (0.9w) for the win. That's a PB for Jones and makes him #2 performer and performance all-time.
Hamblin's 13.24 makes him the #5 high school performer all-time.
Early life check on Jon Entine: "Entine was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into an Ashkenazi Jewish family from eastern Europe".I would love to see what Jon Entine would say about this. His and his stupid book of lies, propaganda & stereotypes called "Taboo".
I call it false advertising in my opinion. Lmao.
a name to keep an eye on … just a sophomore.
Mason is clearly the bigger talent; no wonder he looks so disappointed with third. The hurdler who was running away with that race until he stumbled is Mason Englund, a junior from Fremont Ross HS. He has a PB of 13.5. He's another one to keep an eye on.
Wyatt Lee won the Canadian Under 20 Championships handily in 10.25 (0.5w). 2nd place was 10.47.
Wyatt just finished his senior year of high school.
Miller Warme of Kamiak HS in Washington (north of Seattle on the shores of Puget Sound) has also run a wind-legal 13.73 in the highs and a 36.31 in the intermediates. His best times in flat races are 10.81, 21.66, and 47.27. He looks very young for a junior in high school. He's listed at only 5'8" and 145 lbs. How he runs the highs in 13.73 at that height I don't know. Unless he grows he can forget about running the 42" highs in college. For his size he might be the greatest high school hurdler in history.Miller Warme is a name I hadn't heard before. He is a junior out of the Seattle area, and he finished 2nd (by just .08) in the 400m Hurdles at the USA U20 Championships this weekend.
His time was a fantastic 49.28, which broke the previous high school record, but as mentioned, he came in 2nd. So he is now the 2nd fastest of all-time in high school.
Meanwhile, hurdle sensation Andrew Jones who broke records this year in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles, came 3rd in 49.46.
