The big one, FYI this is on a Sunday and it has no prelims.

One must admit, it seems unbecoming for the White House to host a UFC card, and yes there is the presence of a pavilion, but the octagon is outside in the rain. Overall this is shaping up to be a spectacle.

Hahaha, Hokit easily beats the large, out-off-shape black guy. Then calls Michelle Obama a man in the in-ring interview. I have to say, I was entertained.

Gaethje brutalizes Ilia, just out toughs him, Ilia could not continue. One of the biggest upsets ever. There was a lot of drama at the end of a round before that after a doctor disapproved of the state of his eyes.

I wonder if he can come back from this, it's that type of loss.

Pereira gets finished by Gane, it was the type of stoppage where Pereira got a lot of chances but he was still standing, but could have ended an in ugly KO if it went on longer. Gane fouled by hitting him to the back of the head. It seems like the speed and natural size difference was too much for Pereira and he was not a grappler so could not exploit Gane's weakness there.

He gets way too many opportunities after robbing Volkov.

Nice KO by O'Malley.

Yeah Hokit destroyed the fat Lewis, no cardio at all should probably retire.

Chandler lost, nothing easy about this matchup in the advanced stage of his career.

Nickal was favored to be upsetted by many but showed out.

Diego Lopes, who challenged Volkanovski twice beats up another FW contender.

Gaethje with the big American upset! Survived everything in the early rounds and then brutally beat the formerly undefeated champ until his own camp threw in the towel. Great drama on the biggest stage. Rogan and crew were calling this event the biggest in the sports’ history. I’m not knowledgeable to say, but I’m sure this will be remembered for a long time! Great venue, with 7 stoppage fights, and an excellent main event.

This card got a lot of flak for being underwhelming when it was announced. It was promoted very well, The fighters all swung for the fences. I didn't have a dog in the first few fights, but the last four went exactly alongside my rooting interests (which always helps your mood and attitude). One of the best fight nights within my puny memory of all time. Harkens back to the days of the single-digit UFCs, where you had to fight three times in a night to win.

It seems Gaethje's natural size played a big part.
Yes but coming in he looked too past it ride out the bombs and youthful vigor of the champion. Also it's rare in the UFC that a corner pulls their fighter, it was quite merciful.

Hokit vs Lewis was inevitable as Lewis is totally used up. I compared Hokit to Tank Abbot in an earlier post, Lewis had a similar career trajectory as Abbot and if he keeps on fighting these losses will mount he has nothing left to give.
