Free agency round the corner for the league and be interesting to see what the Patriots do and if they continue their upward slight white trend from the start of the Vrabel era.

Early bad caste news

Centre Bradbury has been traded to the Ravens

Early good caste news

WR Diggs to be released - may or may not mean development for Chism.
RB Gibson released - may be good news for Lan Larison who was IR After a good camp and early pre season.

Early rumours

Alec Pierce to the Patriots who are allegedly in the box seat but rumours swirl of a trade for AJ Brown....

Whites out of contract

Mainly its ILB Jack Gibbens top back up at ILB and TE Hooper who are the ones to watch. Also Jack Westover who played fullback is out of contract but was pretty irrelevant - would of thought fellow white Brocke Lampe comes off IR and is FB next season.

If the Pats sign Alec Pierce they would once again be a CF favorite. Pierce entering his prime years with Maye as his QB, Chism as the third or fourth receiver, Larison as the third RB, Hunter Henry at TE, and as of now three White starters on the o-line, that would be a remarkable demographic turnaround, one which is making New England a premier team again.

I agree if they sign Pierce would be great. Alot of fans want them to go after Otton at TE too which as Hooper is out of contract would be a smart move. The onlybdanger is the o line could be only campbell at tackle with Bradbury being traded and moving sumo Wilson to C. they will sign a left guard I would of thought and need a right tackle even if moses comes back. Rumours of Monroe Feeling in the draft for RT but he might not make it to 31 will have to trade up!

Maye to Pierce would be reminiscent of ARod to Jordy! My brother disagrees with me! He likes Pierce but holds Jordy in much higher regard.

Jordy had to suffer through a three year racial apprenticeship before finally starting despite being a second round draft pick. Pierce is the same size as Jordy and even faster, so if he lands with a team that will fully develop him rather than just sending him down the field all the time, often as a decoy, who knows how good he can be. Handily leading the league in back to back seasons in yards per catch is proof enough for me that he has superstar talent as he's far from being one of those one-trick ponies that can only run fast in a straight line and do little else.

Jordy is still one of my all-time favorite players, right up there with Lance Alworth among receivers. Hopefully Pierce now gets to come into his own for the next several seasons. If I had to pick a comparison it would be another Colt, Roger Carr, who was another tall super-fast receiver who averaged a phenomenal 18.7 yards per catch during his NFL career.

I don’t know Don, Pierce is fast but Jordy had world class speed. Here’s that famous clip of him destroying a black Muslim that I think went on to being a pro bowl corner.

Not only did Jordy serve a racial apprenticeship, but he was also ignored by Rogers in the first half of many games following a monster outing the week previous. I’m assuming to appease the black wr’s. Aaron did go back to him in the second half to win. I had Nelson on my fantasy teams back in the day and it drove me nuts.

They were/are both very fast for sure. Jordy supposedly ran a 4.51 40 at the Combine while Pierce ran 4.41. That's a blink of an eye difference and hardly determinative as to how good an NFL player someone can be.

Like I mentioned, Jordy was awesome, one of my all-time favorites, especially for someone who watched the NFL for decades when it had no White receivers of this caliber allowed to play. This highlights video shows just how effortless Nelson and Rodgers made it. A league that wasn't virulently racist against Whites would have been looking for more "Jordy Nelson types" and would have never taken so long to bring Pierce along:
