College Hoops Season 2025-26

Arkansas spent nearly $10 million this year alone on NIL to “recruit” their roster. Samford, well, not so much. apparently, all that money, all the additional gimme dats, and the usual bad behavior associated with all-black anything is worth exactly a 4-point win over a bunch of White kids who just enjoy playing basketball.

as an addendum, Samford’s all-White starting five has already played 4 road games (out of 5 total), currently have a 3-2 record, and has faced a total of 3 White starters combined from their 5 opponents (Tulane had 1, Central Arkansas had 2). how is it possible that Samford, with their “obvious lack of talent,” has a winning record against all those “real” affletes?

“weird,” huh?
Buying college basketball players doesn’t seem to work as well as football. Last year Rutgers bought two NBA lottery picks, but didn’t even make the tournament.

Very well put. The same could be said about UT Martin. UT Martin is currently undefeated having beat both UNLV and Bradley. Remarkably, UT Martin has done this with their top 9 guys all being Eastern European! Serbian wing Andrija Bukumirovic currently leads the team in scoring at 20 points a game. They play Florida State tomorrow in their only game against a power conference school.

Wisconsin is playing at 7 PM central tonight against Southern Illinois Edwardsville - should be an easy win, but the game is on Big Ten Network for those interested. As mentioned here previously, Wisconsin features numerous pale faces (Winter, Rapp, Rodhe, etc) although their best player is black guard John Blackwell.

Penn is playing St Joe's right now and they are yet another team starting 5 Whites. They are led by guard/wing Ethan Roberts, who is averaging over 20 points a game so far this season. The Ivy League champion is usually a competitive tournament team, so it would be great to see Penn win it. To those unaware, former Iowa coach Fran Mccaffery now coaches the Quakers. It was still sad he got let go at Iowa, but I think he can have success at Penn.

Purdue is the prime example currently starting 3 whites and most of the bench being white as well and currently ranked 2nd in the country and undefeated so far

Tonight top 25 teams square off with Kentucky facing Michigan State. We’ve already discussed the Wildcats this year since they have a few interesting White players. I don’t think we’ve mentioned the Trojans in any detail.

This year their top 2 scorers are White athletes. Senior Jaxon Kohler (another of those vanishing Utah born talents) leads the team with 14.3 ppg and 13.3 rpg. He’s less of a surprise breakout than the #2 man Carson Cooper. The senior center and Michigan native is averaging 12 ppg, 5 RPG and a block. Big improvement from his previous career high of 5 ppg.

If this one is starting now on ESPN.

Thanks for mentioning this. Michigan State usually has a few Whites in the rotation but it is a little unusual to see them both scoring over 10 points a game. Hauser was the most recent star White player for Michigan State.

Gonzaga won by 72 points over Southern Utah last night and they play 3 Whites in the rotation, which is bad for Gonzaga historically but better than some of their recent teams. Their best White player is big man Braden Huff, who averages near 15 points and 5 rebounds on 62% shooting. He is instant offense whenever Gonzaga plays. New to the starting lineup as of last game is Spanish freshman phenom Mario Saint-Supery. The young point guard is averaging about 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds so far this year. Expect these averages to increase as he further grows into his role. He originally started the season on the bench, but is too talented to not start in my opinion. Steele Venters is a piece off of the bench, although him having consecutive seasons missed due to injury limited his ceiling. Venters was orginally a top transfer from Eastern Washington in 2023; however, he is just playing for Gonzaga now, so he is sure to have some rust. Young wing Davis Fogle gets some minutes off of the bench although it has mostly been in garbage time so far. Fogle, a true freshman, is stuck behind a 5th year player, a 6th year player, and a player who will be 26 before the end of the season....great work NCAA!
