2025 NBA Playoffs

Reaves can't make the final shot and Lakers lose.

Still think they will probably win. As much as I hate lebron and the lakers. With a few of our best guys there found myself cheering them last night.

The hate for Edwards probably helps that too :)

Minnesota is just the latest black team that's allowed to constantly hold, grab, and foul on defense and not get called for it. They are now I think the most loathsome team in the NBA. Last year they knocked off Denver and this year the knock out the Lakers with their bullsh** playing style. Such typical garbage. I must admit Edwards is a good player, but he's annoying as hell. Whoever they're playing in the next round will be more palatable then them. Really want the Nuggets to close out the Clippers tonight.

Lakers simply lost because the T-wolves are a better team. Sure they play dirty, but the lack of any inside game from the Lakers doomed them. Anthony Davis is a shell of what he used to be, and when he's out the Lakers have no size to deal with the interior mugging taking place. LeBrown looks as old as you think. No way Luka or Reaves were going to be able to save this team on their own, fat or not.

Who does the JJ Reddick throw under the bus after the Lakers' loss? There is no doubt in my mind that he is talking about Luka.

Luke Doncic led the league in scoring last season. He had a good year this year despite the injuries and a trade. He outplayed Lebron James in the playoffs. It wasn't his fault they lost.

Do you ever hear the media or fans call James Harden fat? Of course not because he is a magical one. Doncic isn't fat and even if he carries a few extra pounds who cares when he can put up a triple double at any time and win the scoring title. The future is bright for the Lakers. I really hope Lebron James decides to retire.

Nikola Jokic leads the Nuggets back to the NBA Western Confrence Semi Finals. Christian Braun had 21 points tonight. They won in a
blowout which is good as a 7 game series had to take alot of energy out of them. Hoping for the best in the next matchup.

Yes, very good result. So looking forward to Denver vs. Oklahoma City. We have Jokic, Braun, Holmgren, Hartenstein, and Caruso in this one. If Denver doesn't win it's certainly not the worst thing in the world. But they have a good chance against OKC as the season series was 2-2 and they looked great in game 7 against the Clippers.

Great performance from Jokic the mvp.
Seen in the other game Kristap must have been injured I'm afraid to check it out with his history.

Informative and the journalist Whitlock interviewed has a logical hypothesis. It goes without saying but I will say it anyways - every single time.
And of course fellow lonsman Mark Cuban is on board with Adelson's slimy casino deal. What a shocker - not.

Monster game by Jokic, 42/22/6. 18 pts in the 4th qtr. They have stolen home court advantage.

Happy to see the Nuggets take a crucial overtime win in Game 3 tonight. They need to win game 4 or tonight won't matter much. Let's
hope Jokic plays better going forward as he really struggled tonight but his teammates picked him up.

The NBA Draft Lottery is this Monday May 12th, 2025. Really hoping the Jazz win the top pick and draft Cooper Flagg.

Nuggets vs OKC has been one of the better NBA watches in recent memory. Multiple white contributors on both sides, true big men, quality defense, liberal officiating. Game 1 in particular was a masterclass by the Joker, one of the best games of his career. Caruso also went off for 20 points off the bench in the loss. Credit to Jamaal Murray who has arguably outplayed the "MVP" SGA at the guard position, also Westbrook who is actually contributing off the bench for Denver.

Nuggets looked like they ran out of gas last night. They were winning through 3 quarters but couldn't hang on at the end. Joker busted out of his slump with 44/15/6 on 17/25 from the field and 5/7 from 3. He was 4/6 in the 4th qtr but the rest of the team was 1/15!!! That's not going to get it done. Really hope they can bounce back at home in Game 6.

The Celtics look like they are done. They were down 1-3 with Tatum, now he is out for Game 5. Well at least that means Porzingis and Hauser should get more time off the bench and Pritchard should get more shots.

Without Tatum, the Celtics become even more palatable. Pritchard, Hauser, Porzingis and Kornet will all get more minutes as 4 of their 8 man rotation. Unfortunately, Porzingis has been suffering from a mysterious ailment and has not been himself.

Zinger has an upper respiratory illness that’s been limiting him over the last month or so. Coach said he literally can’t breathe at times, so he’s basically a non-factor like last night. Thankfully that allowed the hero of the game, Luke Kornet, to step up. 10 points on perfect shooting, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks. Team a +20 when he was on the court. Payton Pritchard was great too. +24 with 17 points. Hauser chipped in 6. Celtics live to fight another day.

Nuggets force game 7. Both White athletes with a double double. Jokic 29/14/8. Braun with his best game of the series contributing 23 points and 11 rebounds.

I don’t have anything against the Thunder. 3 Whites to root for and none of their blacks are too obnoxious to get our ire. However the narrative in the media is that the “real MVP” will be crowned with the winner of game 7. For that reason I’m 100% for the Nuggets.

OKC is the clear choice among remaining teams, however I don't think there is anything compelling enough to continue watching. The western semis between the Nuggets and Thunder may as well have been the finals as far as I'm concerned - it was a great series, other than game 7, and I don't see any of the remaining teams contending with OKC. Game 1 ratings for the WCF hit a 4 year low, and I expect the likely Pacers - Thunder finals to be lopsided and test the bottom of the range for TV viewership.

Good to see OKC win last night and take a 3-1 series lead over Minnesota. Holmgren had a good game with 21 points and DiVincenzo had 21 also in a losing effort. The Thunder look like they will take this series. An OKC - Indiana series will feature 4 of our players. Not great but not terrible.

I tend to agree that Indiana won't give OKC too much trouble but it's possible. The Pacers have really elevated their game in the postseason. Looking forward to Holmgren winning his first title, though he isn't the leader of the team like Jokic and Dirk were. But he knows how to be a key contributor on a championship team, which is why he won four state titles in high school. And Caruso and Hartenstein know how to be key contributors also, which is why they were brought in.

I think most of us basketball fans here on this board are rooting for OKC to win it all now that Denver is out. I agree with everything you said above. Go Thunder!

I’ll root for the Pacers against OKC. I’m from Tulsa. I went to college at Oklahoma State University. The most annoying people in the state are OU fans. They think they are so superior to the rest of the state, particularly due to OU football. When the Thunder came to OKC, they intentionally kept Tulsa out of the loop. We get one preseason game each year. OU football hasn’t won a natty since 2000. So, all their fans are diehard Thunder ********. The Thunder games are a “college atmosphere” because it’s all the OU fans. The only thing OU has is their girls softball team, and all their football fans are now obsessed with softball and Thunder. It’s disgusting and pathetic, and the college softball World Series is in OKC every year. OKC is a minor league city with nothing to offer except a copycat Riverwalk like San Antonio.

Nice to see Chet and Caruso involved. Almost White Hartenstein in addition makes OKC a solid club. Though @icsept insight closer to ground zero is an interesting tidbit.

No fan of Snow Bunny Halliburton, or his obnoxious pops. I do like that they are from a smaller market in the Midwest in Indianapolis, though I think nationally people underestimate how big Indy is getting. Constant construction. New warehouses and subdivisions sprouting up everytime I pass through.

TJ McConnell has been a great backup PG for Pacers for years now. Stinks Johnny Furphy isn’t more involved but he might win a title as a rookie.

Also wanted to add Luka Garza had 4 points and 2 rebounds in 7 minutes of action. He should be getting 15-20 minutes a game by now. Shelving him has been a huge bummer.
