Usyk vs Fury II

I decided to make a thread on it's own as this fight deserves it's own thread. The rematch is in 3 days and in North America it's barely mentioned on mainstream sports sites and if it is it's an after thought.

Usyk rightfully is a slight betting favorite at about 7 to 6 odds so essentially it's a near pick'em. Fury looks like he will try and emulate his two wins over Wilder where he steam rolled Wilder with physical roughhouse tactics and power shots and will tip the scales at around 20 stones(280 pounds). I don't see Usyk changing anything in his strategy as he couldn't fight any better than the first fight less he ko's the big man(which is a distinct possibility in the middle to late rounds IMO).

Here is a preview from the British broadcaster and as Booth stated the card has a few prospect fights but isn't as loaded as the February card with the Betebiev vs Bivol rematch.
PS the broadcasters mentioned this is biggest rematch since Ali vs Frazier II but I would say Alvarez vs Golovkin II was worthy of being in this discussion and Ali vs Frazier II was "only an eliminator" to win the right to fight Foreman for the undisputed title.

Usyk had Fury dead on his feet last fight. The ropes were the only thing keeping him up. I like Fury, but Usyk is the true professional here and is always in tip top conditioning. Either way it’s going to be another Brother War!

I agree. Usyk is much more focused and disciplined. I get a kick of of Fury and he can ballyhoo with the best of them but he's met his match in Usyk.

Usyk is one of the GOATs, he always finds that extra gear when he needs it, and finds a way to win. I just hope for fair judges.

Fury could and should have won the 1st fight, after 8 rnds he was in control, hurting Usyk a few times but would then dance and show boat rather than close the show. This silly behaviour let Usyk back into the fight. When an athlete in any sport show boats they lose mental discipline and give the opponent opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have.

Fury has to smother him like Jack Dempsey did with Carpentier, Rocky Marciano with Joe Louis or Joe Frazier in the 1st Ali fight.

If Fury fights to his own capabilities Usyk is in for a very rough night....if Fury showboats I hope Usyk KO's Fury....

At the weigh in Fury weighed 281 and Usyk was 226 but Fury wore a bomber style jacket, shoes and jogging pants and so that would make him as low as the mid to low 270's and Usyk had a heavy looking medal chain and didn't disrobe too so he would be sub 226. I don't see the point of the ceremonial weigh in if Fury is going to play the part of a Spaghetti Western villain similar to former NFL player Woody Strode.

Hyped Mulatto prospect Moses Itamau fights Demsey McKean in a true cross roads bout. The winner will fight a live body if it's the Australian but if as expected Itamau wins the brakes could be applied to a point as he is still just 19. McKean will have to take punishment to win this one and drown the prospect in the middle to late rounds or he will be another notch in the belt to the hard punching prospect.

Johnny Fisher should bowl over the portly Dave Allen who is sporting a 12 pack stuffed into his stomach and should lose spectacularly only Fisher gassing out looks like a path to victory for Allen who hasn't looked like even a tough out in his last few fights.

Serhii Bohachuk fights late replacement Ishmael Davis and needs a win to stay in the Saudi sweepstakes as Davis has never fought at the world level before and has a loss to Josh Kelly in his biggest bout of his career(so far). Wow Fury is heavy, let's see how that bodes for his cardio, but I'm not gonna lie, hope Usyk can pull it off again.

I think Fury maybe attempting to bulldoze Usyk, if this is not just him letting go of his weight.

Usyk is really an animal anyone else will have to work hard to get P4P no 1 from him.

Surprised nothing went down with the judging, Fury and Joshua are regretting not fighting before Usyk came around.

I really like Usyk. I think he represents us well. I think he'll make quick work of Dubois. For a smaller heavyweight to have 2 victories over both Joshua and Fury (big heavyweights) is really amazing.

Fury is poor sport. He always has been.
