The Ego has landed-IOC says no to Chicago

The "ego has landed" is how the current headline on Drudge puts it as the IOC picks Brazil(Rio) to host the 2016 Olympics as Chicago gets eliminated in the first round as the Chicago reps gasped in suprise when it was announced. This is good news and a serious embarrassment to Obama who has invested a certain degree of political capital in bringing the Olympics to Chicago.
Glen Beck has been focused on this topic all week long and has pointed out how Obama, David Axelrod, Valerie Jarret and numerous other Obama friends owned lots of public housing land in Chicago that would have been demolished and tens of millions of dollars would have been made as these sites were sold for the Olympic construction. It's nice to see the best laid plans of evil people not come to fruition.

The real beneficiaries are the people of Chicago. No having to put up with billions and billions of dollars in construction projectsfor a meretwo-week event, no endless traffic headaches, no having to put up with the massive police state security that would take over the city for months, and on and on.

Such imperial hubris our presumed rulers have. Who gives a hoot where the 2016 Olympics are held? Their arrogance and sense of entitlement is quickly becoming their downfall as the world (and a not insignificant percentage of Americans) begins to gang up on them in more and more ways.

Speaking as a Chicagoan, I jumped for joy. It has restored my faith in mankind. The IOC has seen through the smoke and curtains.
I sum it up for you. Chicago has no structure and no visable means of support. We have the highest taxes in the nation, they cannot go higher. Daley has never finished a project on time or one budget. I am for an olympics in Chicago, but not one controlled by Daley and his Irish machine.
The olympic attempt is a fraud. If suspected of a crime, the politician adopts a noble cause. George Ryan suddenly became Mr. Anti-death penalty, for example.
The best part is the angust expressed by the chicago news media- the world's dumbest news people. What is the term for enjoy other peoples suffering? It is a german word.

Not everyone in the world is as enlightened as Americans. I heard that in many parts of the world, they do not like black people. Imagine that! Many of those racist are voters in the IOC.

You make some good points. Kinda suprised that Axelrod didn't come right out and say it was racism but Obama pretends to be above all that. Senator Burris actually said it was the fault of Pres. Bush as to why Chicago didn't get the Olympics.

i think the IOC selected the only destination among the four finalists that is possibly more corrupt than Chicago: Rio.

additionally, there is no doubt in my mind that the complete arrogance displayed by the King of the World and his evil Queen, along with the Oprah, played a big part in turning off the IOC. after all, it takes one to know one, and they are some of the most corrupt, insufferably arroganta-holes on the planet.

The Olympic committee probably had a slew of legitimate reasons to pass on Chicago...especially with that trio of egomaniacs & their unbridled arrogance. ***Besides, "racism" is just a contrived buzzword endlessly used by the cultural Marxists to induce "White guilt" and compliance to the PC agenda.
