I follow these guys in the box scores every now and again, but don't know too much more. Anyone have insight as to their progress? Is Redick getting minutes yet?

Morrison gets about 30 minutes a game off the bench. He is still not
shooting well, but he is getting better. He no longer plays forward, but
some sort of guard/forward hybrid, which I think is better for him.

Reddick is now getting some playing time. He's shoooting a little over 40%
from the field and playing better than Morrison. But he might only get 10
minutes a night.

Redick is averaging 15:35 minutes or so, but only has played in 21 games, almost all when Grant Hill was injured. Redick is already slightly outperforming Hill's backup Keyon Dooling but remains 3rd string. Ridiculous! Even if they were sharing time as backups I'd be Ok with it, as some coaches give preferance to seniority and Redick also missed training camp w/ injury when depth chart decisions are originally made. Redick's last game with Hill back in the lineup he played 3 minutes and Dooling played about 20 min.

yeah, I haven't seen redick get much in the box score lately. one of three for three points, that seems to be his permanent statline. BS.

I always hate to see a guy get hurt though, but If I had to pick I would have rather seen Dooling get hurt. Why? Because Dooling is the player who doesn't deserve it taking Redicks playing time. Lets face it, at this point Grant Hill is better than Redick and I feel bad for the guy b/c he is injured all the time.

At the beginning of season the Magic looked to be one of my favourite teams to cheer for. However there treatment of Redick has pissed me off. Despite having a lot of white players they are one of the most Pro-caste teams in the league. If you look at the box scores it's always the four white guys who don't play; Redick, Deiner, Garrity, and Augustine (may be part black) Garrity and Augustine may not be deserving of playing time, but Redick certainly is. Deiner is unfortunatly stuck on a team with two other fairly talented point guards. I think Deiner is just as good as the other two probably better than Nelson (Arroyo is Puerto Rican and is a fan favourite in an Area with lots of Puerto Rican fans). I think it was easier for the Magic to bury Deiner on the depth chart because he is white and there is little talent disparity amongst the point guards. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins
