Kupp already has the 2nd best statistical season by a wide receiver through 16 games, at 138 for 1829 and 15 TDs. The only better season I could find was Jerry Rice in 1995 had 122 for 1848 and 15 TDs. Michael Thomas’ single season reception record of 149 only netted 1725 YDs and 9 TDs. Calvin Johnson’s record of 1964 yards came on 122 catches, and a measly 5 TDs. Like Kupp, Johnson’s QB was Matt Stafford, who obviously knows how to feed a no. 1 receiver.
