https://7news.com.au/sport/olympics...urce=email&utm_medium=email&tid=1633484191933 not sure if this will work out of our geographical location but here goes. The white boy beating (a now disgraced) CJ Ujah and Blake who looked across (thinking "hey, there's another green and gold dressed guy over there - and he's in front of me").
Jacobs took an obvious window of no or virtually no drug testing to go from a relatively mediocre 10.1X at his best to a low 9.8 guy in year it's highly improbable and considering what doping experts have said of how much doping improves you it screams of doping. By the way Jacobs while not White by a North American definition has significantly more European ancestry than African and could be considered "White" by a Latino standard of Whiteness. Also it will be interesting to see with testing will he get caught like Coleman(technically he missed 3 tests). Historically his rise mirrors that of Kenteris who came out of nowhere too and later was suspended in a similar fashion to Coleman.

Yes those times are insane to do in one year from 2017 to 2018 and then from 2020 to 2021. Nothing to see here. Only the elephant in the room.
2017 to 2018 ignored his 2016 time. This last year though ??? There was minimal testing during 2020 so it has been a free-for-all "experimental year" in some cases I suppose. So will the times come back to 10.00 when full testing is resumed
The weight gain over these 3 seasons is frightening considering he isn't just weightlifting but running too. Watch the video of the European Semi Finals and see how he can't even make the final as an also ran in 18'...
wow! I'd forgotten this competition. Apart from Tortu the white sprinters were abysmal. Disappointing! Another comp where a once promising Jan Volko looked flat. He was the same in heat 7 of the Olympics this year. Browning had 4-5 metres on him in that race
Yeah that is one reason I really respect guys like Lemaitre and Guliyev as they performed great at the major championships. So many of our guys get too nervous and tighten up so much. Even Julian Reus who could only run 10.01 and 10.04 in Germany under little pressure. Put him in another country and he vanished like so many others. I do think Tortu and Browning are different. I also believe Matthew Boling will be a force to be reckoned with as well. We need more alpha male mentality types to handle the pressure of this big meets internationally and especially in the major championships.
Congrats to Ajla Del Ponte who just won the Swiss Female Track Athlete of the year for the second year in a row! She went sub 11 five times in 2021! https://european-athletics.com/news/del-ponte-and-joseph-crowned-swiss-athletes-of-the-year
congrats to her! She ran hard this year. She looks so feminine in street clothes unlike most Black female sprinters.. One thing that worries me is she ran these times in a year where the drug testing was very light as stated in a post above. I truly hope she is not doping. SS
I've missed news about this guy I must admit - so I've found this. He's certainly not hugely muscled or tall
Thanks for posting that mastermulti. The second video is breathtaking to watch the height and the distance in slow motion. Simply incredible performance!
Here is a a good article about Aiden Murphy from a year ago and it talks about his family too. What a talent he is. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/...t/news-story/8d39fd31a8a0d0ad3e2a622b3edc5117
so he's Tania Van Heer's son ... Tania was a terrific athlete with PB's of 11.29/100, 22.42/200, 51.28/400. She was a member of the winning Aussie 4x100 and 4x400 at Kuala Lumper 1998 Com Games where Shirvo ran his 10.03
That's impressive. He broke a 30+ year old state record for South Australia U20 200m. If he moves interstate and finds a good coach he should do very well!
good posture, great turnover. I would say a little tight in shoulders and his knee lift could be higher but that will come with continued practice under a good coach. He is tall which is good. Has a bright future..
Ella Connolly shows great improvement here in her first run coming into '22 season. At 21 she just ran 11.25 (0.1) - she and Riley Day (11.31 (1.0) and 11.18 2.7W) , also 21, are long time Queensland rivals who may take it to another level over the next few months and hopefully challenge Hana Basic at the Australian Championships in March
That's great news for the ladies down under. Australian Sprinting has really been weak among the women for decades. Sally Pearon the hurdler was always the fastest female Aussie Sprinter I had seen. This is about to change in the near future and this makes me very happy. I'm sure Mastermulti is even happier since he lives there. Yes Ella Connolly looked great running through hard to the line with no competition. Suprised how early this meet was. I didn't think they did much until January. I'm excited to see some Female Australian Sprinters make the chase for a few sub 11 second times & especially wind legal.
Makes me sad to think that Canda has no white femlale 100/200m sprinters, they are all black. Canada has a population of over 13millon more people than Aussieland, it is a shame that whites are told at a young age they need to be focus on 400m and longer. Well done Austrailia!!
after his recent 200m 20.64 personal best Aidan Murphy ran this 400m today. At 18 years and 2 months his improvement has been vast in the past 12 months. He also ran 10.20 (+3.4) last month just after his 18th birthday and that wind legal 20.64/200 a week ago so 10.20 may well be his actual legal level by the end of the season - a welcome new name on my radar
I don't recall any international class White female short sprinters since France Gareau who was on 400m relay quartet who captured silver in Los Angeles in 84'. She also was in high school at the time and was probably the fastest junior sprinter in Canada. The few national class female short sprinters that I have seen seem to true amateurs who clearly aren't on gear and probably aren't in track and field for the long haul if they don't have a miracle breakthrough at the national level. I do recall fairly recently seeing a 200m female sprinter from New Brunswick who made a world championship team and had blonde hair but she disappeared similar to David Copperfield after that season. Without serious funding, coaching and scouting one and done sprinters will be the norm except for the rare track and field freak.
The only white Canadian female sprinter who has succeeded on the International scene lately is Sage Watson, her times in the 400m and 400mh are the best in Canada but mid level interntionally. White kids are dissuaded very an early age in track&field in Canada, it is such a shame, as a former youth coach and competitive Masters aged sprinter it sickens me to see this happening.
