2014 Cincinnati Bengals

The purpose of this thread is to follow the 2014 Cincinnati Bengals with a special emphasis on white players.

Here are some of the white players on the squad: QB Andy Dalton, RB Rex Burkhead, WR/PR Dane Sanzenbacher, TE Tyler Eifert, T Andrew Whitworth, G Clint Boling, G Kevin Zeitler, C Russell Bodine and DE Margus Hunt.

Last year Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict struck Green Bay Pacers tight end Ryan Taylor in the groin during a game. He was fined $10,000 by the league for the incident. He was not suspended though he should have been.

Based on the event and the relatively small fine for the incident I figured the victim was white. I was right. Ryan Taylor is white. Burfict is black.

The incident brings up the question of whether or not there was a racial motive on the part of Burfict. The fact that I could predict the race of the victim suggests that there was.

It will be interesting to see if there are any more such incidents involving Burfict.
