Sergey Kovalev defends his WBA, IBF, & WBO titles against mandatory challenger Nadjib Mohammedi

Terrible mismatch though. The north african gypsy looked like a golden glover.

Lol. To me he has the typical North African look. Looks pure Algerian to me. lol.

The hat and the teeth did it. I could see that guy driving up to me in a parking lot in a big old beat up car with a couple of other guys that look like him and a dirty but sexy looking girl and saying, "Can we take that dent out of your truck for you?"

The fight ended as we expected. The prelim was a good scrap with the black Cuban getting the short end of the stick. He clearly won 8 or 7 rds of that fight. It must be great to have corrupt friends in Vegas like Pascal does. If I was Kovalev, I would give the Cuban the next shot. It would be a "stay busy" fight until Ward gets the courage to step in the ring with the Krusher in 2016.

Glad to see HBO is trying to get Ward to fight Kovalev. Will be a blockbuster for boxing fans.

That would be a good fight. Ward seems to prefer to fight the smaller man, GGG though.

I think Kovalev beats Ward possibly even by stoppage. Ward won't take the risk with Kovalev and instead is calling out middle weights.

Because I didn't see a link? White Blank Page ... and swelling rage!

Ya gotta go to the link in my sig and then to "boxing". I don't post links directly on here any more because the boss once kind of accused me of posting a link with viruses on it (no, but ya gotta know not to click on random things saying stuff like, your computer urgently needs to download a new antivirus or something!). Also I keep this place out of trouble by not putting links up here. Also if this place ever shuts down again then people can know about that place.

Stevenson isn't really interested and there isn't any other "big" name yet other than Ward. That Chechen you guys like will be tough but he won't beat Sergei for reasons i"ll explain if the fight ever gets there in the next 2-3 years. A Ward fight would be the best possible opponent for Sergey right now; a badge of honour to make extinct the last American boxer.

Got it. And for the next one.

I haven't seen Ward fight in years; not sure how he would stack up against Kovalev. From what I remember his style was a lot of punch once or twice and hold. Similar to Mayweather. That kind of style works if you have a ref that will let you fight that way. Ricky Hatton was very effective when he fought in England and the refs let him use that style. He was able to defeat the great Kostya Tszyu using that technique. Then he came to the US and fought Mayweather, and the ref, I think it was Joe Cortes, of course let Mayweather hold the whole fight but not Hatton.

Hopefully Kovalev wouldn't have to deal with that in a Ward fight but he's going to beat him regardless. That's why Ward won't fight him.

Yeah, Ward wants the reach advantage, equal or better weight, same or better strength too so he can hold and smother; also, Ward loves to fight hookers -and GGG is more often than not a hooker. Kovalev is more often a straight-shot-down-the-middle man that is bigger and stronger than Ward so he'll be tough to hold on to and tough to grab without getting whacked.

Yes, that's a great idea. I'll register at your site. This is my favourite site on the Internet (Don Wassall deserves so much credit for his efforts) and it would really suck if it ever shut down. But in case it does we should have a backup site.

I love boxing so its great to have a place to discuss it with like minded guys.

The problem with mainstream boxing sites is exactly that: They're mainstream. The minute you bring up race or racial bias in officiating, American network programming and so on you are labeled a "racist" and banned.

I was once banned from boxrec for posting articles about race and intelligence in the off topic section.

I work long hours and live a fulfilling life so I don't have time to post at multiple sites. So now I'm only interested in posting at this site and possibly yours in the future.

This is a great community we have here and it'd be a shame to lose it.

In the post-fight presser Kovalev said "Right now I want to fight the WBC champion Adonis "Piece of Sh*t Stevenson". Just totally called him out and disrespected him for refusing to fight him. Too damn funny.

Al Hymen will do whatever it takes to keep Stevenson away from Kovalev. He knows damn well he'll get KTFO. It's good that Kovalev is continuously taking sh*t about him. He should do that to the point that everywhere Stevenson goes, he'll get called a "chicken" and "ducker" by everyone. He'd eventually give in. That worked against Mayweather when he continuously avoided Pacquiao.
