Wes Welker now has 6 catches for 103 yards. Not bad for a guy who "expert" Brett Perrimann said "any receiver could do" in Welker's position.

Did you guys see Vince Young fake an injury today? He gets intercepted looks like he is mad at himself, walks over to the bench and sits down while looking like he is still not happy. Then out of the blue in an extreme delayed reaction, he grabs his knee and falls off the bench writhing in pain looking like he is about to cry. Then minutes later they show him up walking around like nothing is wrong and they say, looks like Vince Young is ok. It was one of the most overly dramatic and obviously disingenuous displays of faking injury I have probably ever seen. That is two times in both of the games I am flipping through today that an afflete has overreacted. In the Bears game a Rams receiver tried to block a Bears safety and got leveled, he might have got the wind knocked out of him but he layed on the field and milked it for all it was worth, writhing in pain with the training staff out there. Then all of a sudden he just hops up and jogs off the field. The NFL and it's affletes are becoming a carnival sideshow.

Well, he DID get his leg run into by a colt on the last play of the drive near the goal line when they had to settle for a field goal. What's funny though, is it only seems to bother him when something goes wrong.

Fail a third down conversion? limp.
Throw an interception? limp
Driving down the field successfully? Miraculously heal and run for a first down or two.

Had that colt not dropped an easy pick on the last drive I have a sneaking suspicion the "injury" would have come back.

Faking injuries (after getting burnt) is standard M.O. for the "affletes". I've seen it in hoops & football at all levels.

side note, freshly off practice squad, WR converted to TE, Evan Moore so far is leading Browns with 3 catches for 42 yards. yesterday, Rotoworld was quick to describe him:

I hope so, there is no one who I despise more in professional athletics because of all the manufactured hype than "Vince He just win Young" except for maybe Michael "Con" Vick. He is slowly but surely looking like is about ready to turn back into a turnover waiting to happen. So far he has been very lucky in regards to turnovers. He has fumbled the ball 6 times in 8 games and has managed to have all of them recovered but 1. He should have had two Int's today, but one was dropped, and all those those turnovers are accumulated with primarily a dink and dunk passing game.

Darn I think I started Greg Olsen instead of Witten. I'm sure it's been a topic here but I heard Witten has been fighting through some sort of nagging injury all year.

Does it seem like the Colts have intentionally gone away from their bread and butter in Dallas Clark and instead have been almost forcing the ball Garcon's way? Garcon has put up decent numbers, but when I've watched, and I don't have the stats, he seems like the guy that is most often targeted and the target most likely to end in an incompletion.

Thank you Colts for winning today and putting a stop to all the Vince Young/TEN non-sense. Now we can focus on other things, like whether Peyton Manning will win his 4th MVP.

And equally nice was the NO comeback against the Blackskins. It surely would've ruined my day if two black QBs ended the perfect seasons of two white ones, who by the way, are two of the best. So, today turned out just fine.

Kaptain, I did a little look see and here's what I found.

Over the last 4 games, Garcon has been targeted a total of 36 times, while catching a total of 20 passes. That's a reception rate of 55.56%.

Looking at Austin Collie, he has 15 catches out of 21 targets, a 71.43% reception rate.

Dallas Clark caught 17 passes out of 24 targets, a 70.83% reception rate.

Just in case you were wondering, Wayne caught 24/35 for a 68.57% reception rate.

You are spot on, my good man! The two whites are the most dependable , while Garcon is the least dependable and most targeted. Pass the facts on, gentlemen!

Me too, Westside. He'd probably say he it was based on the defense he was seeing or the play that was called or something to that effect. It is strange that the least targeted White receivers are the most dependable. Kind of feeds into the possession receiver argument I use a lot. I say, Whites are often called possession receivers because they catch the balls that are thrown to them. They don't have hands of stone like their teammates. Why not use them as your starter and let them help you down the field every drive? If they allow you to continue your possession more than the other guys, why not play them all the time? It usually gets people to think about the insanity of the current situation.

In the NFL, the world truly is turned upside down.
