Cris Carter just picked the Cowboys to beat the Giants tonight because NY has Chase Blackburn playing linebacker.

Is the Edelman defensive experiment over? Guess he excelled a little too much.

After not playing on defense whatsoever last week against the Colts, Edelman just entered the game on the second series against the Redskins. He was playing nickle corner and blitzed the QB. Also, LB Dane Fletcher has finally returned to the lineup for New England.

I missed that catch by Gronkowski, what a play. And now he just broke the record for TE TDS!

Jared Allen with a sack and the very next play the Vikings soft and unathletic secondary gets toasted.. The Vikings sumo dominated o-line is soft and blubbery and lazy..

Cam with a touchdown pass to Shockey. Game tied at 7-7. I think this is one of the more important games today. A Carolina win will declare Newton on or near the same level as Matt Ryan.

Just saw this alert:

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady surpasses Hall of Famer Warren Moon for sixth-most TD passes in NFL history.

Congrats to Tom as well. Good start to the day.

Have to bench Danny since ability to block a lineman is not up to strict NFL standards.

Danny Woodhead getting some carries now.
A 12 yarder and now an 8. NE driving.

So after the 8 yard run, with 2 and 2, NE tries two throws and settles for a FG. Why not let Danny try to pick up the easy 2 yards?

Woodhead's ability to start/stop, change direction, and accelerate is incredible. without the Caste System in play, i would be unable to understand why he's not the featured back ...

the mental gymnastics that DWFs must go through to explain away his obvious talent/productivity blows the mind.

on a Patriots-related note, Brady doesn't look his best, nor does the Pats o-line. also, the drops by the non-White targets have certainly helped slow down the New England offense.

44 yard touchdown to Greg Olsen. 23-7 Carolina. If Atlanta does not come back the Scam praise will be sickening.

Karl Klug sacked Brees, his team leading 5th sack, not too shabby for a rookie DT that only plays part time

Some sack updates:

Jared Allen had his second of the day. If he can get another 1 or 2 he'll be back in the record hunt.

Jason Babin with a sack that resulted in a fumble for a loss.

Casey Matthews with his first career sack as well.

Allen is now a sack and a half ahead of Demarcus Ware with 16.5 to his 15. Ware plays tonight so hopefully he doesn't get any sacks today.

He's now over 1,000 on the season for the first White duo in a long time.

On a related NE note, the Patriots had old man Faulk in instead of Danny. The slow turd has 2 carries for 6 yards and 1 catch for 1 yard. After Danny's 3 carries for 23 yard drive he hasn't received another. NE can only get field goals now.

Does that include his 3rd sack of the half? Jared Allen is unreal!

At the half, Raheem's Dreem Teem is losing by 14 to the lowly Jaguars. Supa-black quarterback Freeman has an into and a fumble for a loss. Preston Parker has 2 lost fumbles. Blacks really have butter fingers.

For the Jags, Brock Bolen has 1 carry for 10 yards. Stop the presses!

Conner Barwin with a sack, force fumble which Brooks Reed recovers deep in Bengals territory. Yates completes a touchdown to Dreesen. Texans are back in the ballgame.
