Iowa has had great tight ends. Someone is going to draft Eric All high...
Watching him play, isn’t it obvious he’s not on the same level as LaPorta, Hock or Kittle?
All is very undersized for the tight end position, but he’s too slow to play wideout. he certainly is a legitimate threat as a receiver, however what position does he project to play at the next level? he reminds me of the dude from Kentucky a few years ago that was absolutely uncoverable for the Wildcats but then got completely screwed by the NFL. of course, the Kentucky player was White while All has a drop of vibrancy in his genetic code, so …

Iowa really just needs to cut Ferentz’s son. His leash has been a mile long and Kirk’s nepotism towards his inept OC son, may be the only blemish I see in his otherwise HOF career.
a poster on a popular Iowa forum must be reading my posts … he suggested that Iowa quit screwing around and start playing every down with three or four tight ends, utilizing a power running game and lots of motion to isolate mismatches with the opposing secondary. based on their history (recruiting/developing really good tight ends and screwing/missing on wide receiver prospects), this would seem to be both a no-brainer AND a chance to win through innovative offensive schemes and playing to your strengths. i’ve advocated this approach for years. can you imagine a team that intentionally tries to prioritize players like Lachey, Bowers, Evans, etc.?

of course, it’s never been done, nor will it be with the underwhelming Ferentz at o-coordinator.

MSU LB Halladay fumble return for a TD
he outran the MUCH smaller Iowa wideout to the end zone for the score, though he carried the little afflete on his back the last 5-10 yards. Lol. nary a word from the commentary crew about Halladay’s athletic ability; instead, they just said “(he) got it done.”

He also did the intelligent thing by wrapping up the ball with both hands as he was going into the endzone to make sure the afflete doesn't try and strip the ball from behind.

Kienholz had a chance to choose Washington, Wyoming, Iowa, or Wisconsin. Instead he chose Ohio State and guaranteed he’ll be transferring out asap. Another basic bitch move by a White QB.

Yea too many of these kids are chasing the school name and not looking at the reality of the position. Hate to see such a stockpiling of White QBs at schools like Ohio St, Georgia, Alabama etc. They all have QBs good enough to start elsewhere but decide to ride the bench at a big name school.

Ole Miss beats LSU. Jaxson Dart with a big game. 390 yards passing, 7 carries 50 yards.
Great to see Brian Kelly failing at LSU. He ditched a promising situation at Notre Dame to chase that "southern upside" to a Natty. On his current trajectory he'll be on a broadcast desk in 2 years instead.

Haladay is a good football player. I remember two seasons ago when he emerged as a playmaker and how he was referred to as a "throwback". Obviously be cause he is White and he also doesn't wear all the nonsensical gear - gloves, wristbands etc. He's had a nose for the football over the course of his career as well as displaying great tackling ability.

Duke is off to a slow start against Notre Dame which is to be expected. I'm torn with this game as I love Notre Dame. However I'm rooting
for Duke. Why do you ask? Because Riley Leonard and Bo Nix are the 2 Quarterbacks with the most talent and the best chance to win the
Heisman Trophy. Our guys winning the Heisman Award is huge if and when it happens. I have a feeling that Duke will comeback here and
pull of the upset. If they do expect Riley Leonard to be the primary reason. The kid says he wants to win a national championship and he
has said that in interviews. This is a kid playing for a basketball school but he is helping to change the culture there to a 2 sport school.

Bo Nix and Oregon looking great so far. Both Leonard and Nix are true double threat mobile quarterbacks at the highest level. :)

I'm feeling some Blue Devils in the Upset like I said. Go Riley Leonard!

Cooper Dejean for Heisman

Michigan state QB Noah Kim is so bad, he’s the great Asian hope for Asian football fans, they love him, sadly he’s atrocious.

DeJean wins the game (almost) singlehandedly. I was listening to Iowa's home radio broadcast for a bit in the second half, and the kindly old announcer was struggling to stay positive about the Hawkeyes' rough offense.

Better acoustics here:

Here's his pick from earlier - interesting how he didn't bother to stay with the receiver and played the ball to perfection instead.

Maybe Iowa should dial up some packages for DeJean on offense… Just a thought! Electric return and oh so clutch!

I read tonight that DeJean has four touchdowns (three pick-sixes and this punt return) since 2022, which is tied for second-most on the team in that span.

Lol awesome and sad fact, all in one! I appreciate the inserted videos! What a game for DeJean I regret not watching the 2nd half!

It's tempting but never forget what happened to Jason Sehorn returning kicks for the NY Giants. His career was never the same. Dejean
is an elite athlete at the highest level and they can't afford to lose him. However, I would love to see it. Just because he is so exciting to
watch. It's just horrible how anemic Iowa's Offense is though year after year.

Can't believe Duke lost. Crazy game and they should have won it. Happy for Notre Dame but there goes the Heisman for Riley Leonard!
Then to add insult to injury the kid got badly hurt at the end of the game. It doesn't look good as he couldn't put any pressure on that leg.

Duke punting from ND's 33 on a 4th and 6 with under 3 mins left in the game sealed their fate, such a shame they gave away the game with such a bonehead decision. These coaches just hold our guys back from greatness and Leonard is now injured due to the unnecessary sequence of events instead of just going for the win right there

Is it time to panic about will shipley ?
That's a couple games that didn't look good in the stat sheet.

College games aren't shown here, so haven't seen anything but highlights.

One bust named Adoree Jackson was returner/CB for USC, a first rounder. So did Peppers from Michigan, DeJean will be first rounder too if those pro teams have eyes, he's way better than that 2 I mentioned.
