OC fooball, the internet is my main source. It's really not that difficult to research most teams. It just takes a little time.

To answer your question though, at least one of the teams in each of those games is relatively white friendly. I don't post about mainly black games because they don't serve the interests of the posters and readers on this site. Thats why I posted about these games, and not all of them. With that said, youor any other Caste Football reader should be able towatch any of these games and have the opportunity to see a strong white presence in at least one of the teams playing.

A fewof the white friendlyteams in these games have 2 white starters (inmost of thesecases, the stars are white), but most have 3 ormore whites starting. We've already talked aboutmost of these teams and how many white starters they have, so you can look that up yourself or wait and see how white they are when they take the court.

I just added to my original post that these games are what I consider "Caste" games. In other words, majority white vs. majority black. In a few cases, teams have two white starters who stand out, so I included them. There are very few all white vs. all black games anymore, so I don't refer to them as whitey/blackie games. I and others here at Caste Footballhave used the term "Caste" to describe collegefootball games for a while, and I think it can be used in the context of college basketball as well. Alright Colonial, I'm not an idiot. I knew that most of those teams had a decent white presence. I just couldn't figure out what ones exactly.

With that being said....

Three or four white starters:
Duke
Notre Dame
Washington St.
Gonzaga
Davidson
PENN
BYU

2 starters:
Pitt
Michigan St.
Texas Tech
Arizona
Creighton
Vanderbilt
UNLV
Eastern Kentucky
Southern Illinois

This is a previous post. It may not contain all of the white friendly teams in the tournament as it is an old post.

we need to have a tourney pool here at caste. We should make it where we could all see each others brackets. It would be alot of fun.

Just for the record, I never said anyone was an idiot. I just get tired of people who come on the board and ask me and others to look things up for them. They rarely take the initiative to look up info on their own. OC, you have provided plenty of info before, so don't take it personal. Lately, a lot of guys have been asking for info when they could just as easily look it up themselves. For example, it's as easy as Googling Weber State basketball, and then following the links to theroster and the stats to see who starts the most. Basketball is much easier than football simply because of the number of players. I just wish more people would get interested enough to look info up on their own. If they did, then we could start talking about a change, because people who take the time to inform themselves will also take time to inform others. I don't like the idea of being 1 of 5 people in the U.S. who try to keep up with white players in college football and basketball. I wish I was 1 of 1,000,000. Sorry for the rant, but that is how I see it. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

i agree with the Colonel on this.

we have a lot of intelligent posters on this site who i'd like to see post more often, because i learn a great deal from them. but we also have several posters who do little contributing and oftenask everyone else to look up the information they want to know about. hey, we all have access to the internet, so we should all take a little time and initiative and try to help the cause.

if we all pull together, we can ease some of the burden off of Don and others, and perhaps make a big difference in the caste system. it's certainly worth the effort.

i had some free time today, so i put together a Caste synopsis of each of the teams in the Midwest bracket... hopefully, i'll have enough time to cover the three remaining ones, but i don't know for sure. here's what i've got:
MIDWEST Bracket: <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Florida-Jackson St. - Florida sharp shooter Lee Humphrey is the only white guy who will see significant playing time.

Arizona - freshman wing Chase Budinger is second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding, forward/center Ivan Radenovic leads team in rebounds and is third in scoring.
Purdue - freshman point guard Chris Kramer leads team in assists but is sloppy with the ball.

Butler - combo guard A.J. Graves leads team in scoring and steals, and is second in assists. At the free throw line, he's more automatic than an ATM, shooting a phenomenal 95.8%! Undersized power forward Brandon Crone is second on the team in rebounds and third in scoring. Small forward Pete Campbell averages 9 points a game and shoots over 50% from 3-point range. Guard/forwards Julian Betko and Drew Streicher are solid role players.
Old Dominion - best player is forward Valdas Vasylius who leads the team in scoring and rebounding while shooting 50% from the floor. He is the only white player to regularly see action.

Maryland - Freshman point guard Greivis Vasquez has emerged as the leader of the team. He averages 10 ppg and leads the team in assists. He is a very good defender. Fellow true frosh Eric Hayes began the year as the starting point guard, but had his spot taken by Vasquez (who is a little bigger and a slightly better defender, while Eric is a slightly better shooter and passer). Hayes still sees lots of minutes and is second on the team in assists. 7-footer Will Bowers sees spot duty, usually when the other bigs are in foul trouble.
Davidson - tough power forward Thomas Sander averages 13.5 points and is the second leading rebounder while also being a tough defender. Point guard Jason Richards averages 13.6 points per game and leads the team in assists (7.3 per). Combo guard/forward Max Paulhus Gosselin is a solid player whose game isn't reflected by the stat sheet. Very athletic freshman wing William Archambault averages 8 points per game, but doesn't start.

Notre Dame - shooting guard Colin Falls is second on the team in scoring and is a deadly 3-point shooter, also tied for second on the team in assists. Forward Rob Kurz averages 13 ppg (third on the team) and leads the team in rebounding. He's a stellard 3-point shooter as well, but he doesn't take many. Freshman power forward Luke Harangody might be the toughest basketball player in the country. He's incredibly strong and has a soft touch. He averages 11.5 ppg and is second on the team in rebounding. Off the bench, sophomore big men Luke Zeller and Zach Hillesland provide good production. Hillesland is a phenomenal passer for a big guy. He is tied for second on the team in assists despite coming off the bench.
Winthrop - forward/center Craig Bradshaw, a New Zealander, leads the team in rebounds and blocks while averaging 13.3 ppg. Forward Phillip Williams is a solid role player.

Oregon - forward Marty Leunen is a complete player on both ends of the court, but he's been plagued by injuries in his career. This season he leads the Ducks in rebounding, blocks, and steals. He is second in assists and averages 10.8 ppg. Senior forward Adam Zahn is an incredibly athletic dunker but doesn't get much playing time.
Miami-Ohio - along with BYU probably the whitest team in the tournament, with only one black player (a starter) seeing regular minutes. The Redhawks run a slow-down ball-control game that doesn't score a lot of points. Small forward Tim Pollitz is the leading scorer, but he doesn't have to take many shots to light up the scoreboard. He shoots a stellar 57% from the floor. He's also the second leading rebounder. Guard/forward Michael Bramos provides an interesting mix of playmaking on the court. He's their best 3-point shooter, second in assists, and third leading scorer (11 ppg). And despite being a 6'5" wing player, is tied for the team lead in blocked shots. Wow! Freshman point guard Alex Moosman leads the team in assists, but he isn't much of a scorer and is too turnover prone. Center Monty St. Clair starts most games, but isn't very productive. Guard Doug Penno is a 3-point gunner off the bench, with sophomores Eric Pollitz and Tyler Dierkers seeing a lot of minutes, as well.

UNLV-Georgia Tech - UNLV's best player is the only white man likely to see significant action in this game. Kevin Kruger averages 13.6 ppg, leads the team in assists and 3-point shooting, and if he doesn't play well UNLV usually doesn't win. Joe Darger also plays some minutes for UNLV.

Wisconsin - with under-achieving former McDonald's All-American Brian Butch likely to miss the tourney due to injury, Wisconsin's only probable white starter will be forward/center Jason Chappell. He is a hard-nosed role player who can shoot pretty well, but doesn't get many touches. Talented freshman guard Jason Bohannon will likely see some action, as will a personal favorite of mine, athletic guard/forward Joe Krabbenhoft. He's a tough defender with nice springs, but sadly he isn't asked to do much on offense. He is the team's third leading rebounder though, despite his limited minutes.
Texas A&M C.C. - forward Seth Engleken is a part-time starter, but he doesn't put up any numbers.

Memphis vs. North Texas-Mempho has just one white on the team (he never plays) the Mean Green ain't much better. You might see Sophomore Center Justin Howerton on the floor for a few minutes. Freshman Guard Collin Mangrum averaged even less, just 6.5 minutes and 1.7 points per game.

Nevada vs. Creighton-Creighton starts 2 whites Nate Funk and Dane Watts. Funk leads the team in scoring with 17.6 a game. He also leads them in steals and assists. Watts averages 10.1 points a game and leads the starters in 3 point percentage at almost 40.8%. Nick Bahe is the main white reservist who leads the whole team in 3 point shooting with 41.7%. He gets 15 minutes a game. Nevada has star forwardNick Fazekas who doesn't lookso great when he has to run. He leads the team infree throwswith 84.7%, rebounds with11.2 per game, blocks with 41 on the season, and scoring with 20.5 per game. ForwardDenis Ikovlev is the other white starter. The main white backup is David Ellis who has started 3 games this year and averages 12 minutes a game.

Texas A&M vs. Pennsylvania-Penn started 4 whites most of the season and has 3 significant white bench players. Leading the team in rebounding and scoring is Senio ForwardMark Zoller, who gets 18.2 points a game. Junior Guard Brian Grandieri gets 12 points a game and shoots 50% from 3 point range. Senior Forward Steve Danley leads the team in blocks with 28 on the year. Sophomore Forward/Guard Tommy McMahon has scored 5.1 per game in his 11 starts. From the bench, Sophomore Guard Kevin Egee has started 8 games and gets 13 minutes and 4 points a game. Junior Guard Michael Kach averages 14 minutes and 4 pointsa game, and Sophomore Forward Brennan Votel also sees the floor occasionally. Texas A & M starts just one white, Senior Antanas Kavaliauskas, who leads the team in shooting from the floor at 56.2% and is tied for first in blocks. He gets 12.3 points per game.

Louisville vs. Stanford-The Cardinals start 1 white, Junior Forward/Center David Padgett. He shoots 59.1% from the field and 83.5% from the charity stripe, and has 48 blocks, all team highs. Sophomore Guard Will Scott gets 8.6 minutes and 3.8 points per game. The Cardinal has 3 whites who getoccasional playing time. Junior Forward Taj Finger gets 13.3 minutes and 4 points a game. Junior Center Peter Prowitt gets 5.2 minutes a game, and Freshman Forward Will Paul averages 5.8 minutes in 16 games this year.

Virginia vs. Albany-The Cavaliers start one white, Senior Forward Jason Cain. He shoots better than any of the regular starters from the floor,at 47.8. He also lead the team in blocks and rebounds. Backups include Sophomore Forward Laurynas Mikalauskas who gets 12.5 minutes and 3.8 points a game. Junior Forward/Center Ryan Pettinella gets 10.8 minutes per game and 3.1 points. Albany Junior Guard/Forward Brian Lillis has a team high 53.3% shooting average, steals and blocks. Fellow starter Junior Forward Brent Wilson gets 44.2% from three-land (team high) and almost 11 points per game. Part time starter Freshman Center Brett Gifford is second in blocks despite playing just 12.4 minutes per game. Backup Junior Guard Jon Iati has 6.1 points per game while averaging 15 minutes a game. Sophomore Forward Brian Connelly gets 21.3 minutes a game, and 5.5 points.

Tennessee vs. Long Beach-Senior Guard Dane Bradshaw starts and has led the team in assists and is second in steals. Junior Guard Jordan Howell gets 19 minutes a game and 4.2 points per game. Sophomore Forward Ryan Childress gets 15.5 minutes and 5.3 points a game.TheFortiner's havejust one white backup, Redshirt Freshman Forward Arturas Lazdauskas who gets just 5.8 minutes a game.

BYU vs. Xavier-BYU starts 4 whites, Senior Guard Ausin Ainge leads the team in 3 point average with 49.1, and assists. Sophomore Forward/Center Trent Plaisted is the 6-11 big man down low and leads the team in blocks, but can move well and jump out of the Marriot Center. Sophomore Guard Lee Cummard shoots 55.4% from the floor and 80.6% from the foul line, both team highs. He also leads in steals. Senior Guard Jimmy Balderson gets 8.1 points per game and is second in steals. Other contributors are Mike Rose, nephew of the head coach, who is lethal from three-land, andJonathan Tavernariwho gets 12.4 minutes and 6.7 points per game. Xavier has one white starter in Senior ForwardJustin Doellmanand he's their best player with 13.4 a game, and leads the team in blocks. Their only other white contributor is Sophomore Guard Johnny Wolf, who gets 9.7 minutes a game and is third in assists on the team.

The Ohio State vs. Central Connecticut State-CCSU starts one white, Senior Guard Javier Mojica, who averages 16.7 points per game, and leads the team in steals with 50 and 3 point average with 40.8%. Sophomore Forward Chris Winters plays 15.8 minutes a game and is third on the team in blocks.Senior Center Ingo Beaudet gets 8.5 minutes a game but is a good shooter from the floor. WEST Bracket: <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Kansas - athletic power forward Sasha Kaun is the only white man who will be featured in this game, and although the talented big man is a starter with a lot of talent, he is relegated to a "blue collar" role on this otherwise coal black team.
Florida A&M/Niagara - the "play in" game, which is supposed to feature the worst two teams in the tourney, provides an interesting conundrum. According to modern athletic myth, white people are supposed to suck at basketball. So I find it interesting that the two worst teams in the "Big Dance" haven't had a white athlete touch the floor for a single second all season. How is that possible?

Kentucky - Villanova - Villanova's team leader and only white player to see the floor this year is point guard Mike Nardi. He is questionable to be available because of a severely sprained ankle and a calf strain, which means this game may be as black as an ace of spades. Kentucky's only white player is the seldom-used Lukasz Obrzut, who frankly isn't very good.

Virginia Tech - Illinois - neither of these teams apparently think very highly of white athletes, because each just allowed one white scholarship athlete to see game time this season. The token for Virginia Tech is Robert Krabbendam. For Illinois, it's Trent Meachem.

Southern Illinois - possibly the best defensive team in the tournament. Undersized but tough power forward Matt Shaw is the team's third leading scorer (11.4 ppg) and second leading rebounder. Super sophomore Bryan Mullins starts at the point guard spot. He is a phenomenal defender, and he leads the team in steals as well as assists. Tony Boyle comes off the bench to bang down low.
Holy Cross - center Tim Clifford has a nice shot for a big man, and he ranks third on the team in scoring at almost 12 points per. He's also a decent shot blocker. Power forward Alexander Vander Baan is a solid all-around player who leads the team in rebounds. Frequent starter Kyle Cruze is a 3-point specialist who is very limited. Pat Doherty rarely starts, but he plays a lot of minutes and is a good looking young point guard, but he's short. Freshman big man Eric Meister is aggressive when he comes off the bench, and looks to have some potential.

Duke - probably the highest profile "white" team, the Blue Devils routinely start 3 white men. It's not uncommon for the Blue Devils to have five white cats on the hardwood at one time, but somehow they are still very good. Power/point forward Josh McRoberts is probably the most versatile big man in the country, although he doesn't look to score as much as I think he's capable of, just averaging 12.8 point per contest. He's second on the team in scoring and assists, and is tied for second in steals while leading the team in rebounding and blocked shots. Freshman combo guard Jon Scheyer is third on the team in scoring (12.3 per game). Point guard Greg Paulus has struggled this year, but he is playing good basketball of late. He leads the team in assists (and turnovers, Agh!) and is a superb shooter (45% from 3-point range), scoring 11.4 points per. Freshman center Brian Zoubek is raved about by the coaches but only gets spot duty off the bench. Athletic wing Marty Pocius, who the coaches say is the quickest player on the team and their best perimeter defender, is in the same boat as Zoubek about playing time, although he's battled injuries this season.
Virginia Commonwealth - doesn't have a single white man on its roster. So of course most people are picking them for the upset.

Pittsburgh - talented, and VERY BIG, center Aaron Gray is the best player and averages nearly a double-double. He leads Pitt in scoring (connecting on over 56% of his shots from the floor), rebounding, and blocked shots. Power forward Levon Kendall is a quick-footed, elite defender. He is second on the team in blocks and rebounding and is a capable scorer, although he doesn't look to score often.
Wright State - a very short team with no true big man. Freshman guard Vaughn Duggins is the second leading scorer on a balanced team, at 8.9 ppg. Small forward Drew Burleson averages 8.8 ppg and leads the team in rebounding. Undersized power forward Jordan Pleiman averages 7.4 ppg shooting 57% from the floor and is second on the team in rebounding.

Indiana - gone are the days when Indiana is a prominent national basketball power. Strangely enough, gone are the days when a lot of white guys played basketball for Indiana. Lance Stemler is the lone white athlete to be a significant and routine contributor for the Hoosiers. His role is, of course, to do the dirty work. Center Ben Allen and guard Errek Suhr have both started 4 games this season, but both average less than 10 minutes per game, so they are more largely just tokens to a bygone era of greatness.
Gonzaga - my beloved Zags managed to survive the stupid mistakes that got supremely-talented Josh Heytvelt suspended from the team and earned their way into the Big Dance. Combo guard Derek Raivio leads the team in scoring at 18.2 ppg while shooting a phenomenal 96.1% from the charity stripe and 41% from the 3-point line. He's also tied for the team lead in steals and is second in assists. Freshman combo guard Matt Bouldin features a superb all-around game. Savvy senior Sean Mallon is a productive player who is capable of lighting up the scoreboard or rebound column despite not being a hig-flying athlete. Small/power forward David Pendergraft is one of the toughest players in all of college basketball, and he possesses a sweet mid-range jumper as well as being a great defender. Former McDonald All-American and Kansas transfer Micah Downs emerged late in the season as a big-time scorer and rebounder. He is a tremendous leaper as well as a superb 3-point shooter (43%), and at 6'8" poses serious match-up problems.

UCLA - shooting guard Michael Roll is the only white player to get many minutes. He's the 3-point shooter off the bench.Weber State - phenomenal athlete David Patten (first mentioned a while back by sunshine) is the best player in the conference. The forward leads the well-balanced Weber State team in scoring at 14.4 ppg, as well as leading them in steals and blocks and is second in rebounding. Point guard Juan Pablo Silveira is second on the team in scoring with 11.2 ppg and leads in assists. He shoots a stellar 46.2% from 3-point range. Guard/forward Dan Henry is a tough defender and slasher, and he averages 7.7 ppg. Forward/center Arturas Valeika leads the team in rebounding and adds 8.1 ppg, shooting 58.4% from the floor. Off the bench, forward Tyler Billings brings instant offense, averaging 8.2 ppg. Back-up point guard Brody Van Brocklin offers quality depth in the backcourt, and can really shoot if he ever decides to pull the trigger.

North Carolina vs. Eastern Kentucky-The Tar Heels have the sensational Sophomore Forward Tyler Hansbrough. Tyler has been told to wear the facemask since he was elbowed a couple of weeks ago, and it has affected his game. I hope he is able to discard it before long. He is the star of the team scoring 18.1 a game and the only regular white starter. Sophomore Guard Bobby Frasor started 6 games, but has averaged only 11 minutes a game all season. Senior Guard Wes Miller also gets about 11 minutes of playing time. EKU has 2 white starters, Freshman Guard Adam Leonard and Senior Forward Michael Brock. Leonard is second on the team in scoring, leads it in 3s and FTs. Brock leads the team in rebounds. Freshman Forward Josh Taylor gets 9 minutes and 3 points a game in reserve. Freshman Forward Josh Daniel averages 8 minutes and 3 points.

Marquette vs. Michigan State-The Golden Eagles have a white part time starter in Junior Forward Dan Fitzgerald. He gets 21 minutes a game and has started 10 games while leading the starters in 3s and 7.5 points a game. MSU is led by Junior Guard Drew Neitzel who has 18.1 a game, and leads them in free throw and 3 point percentage. Also in the starting 5 is Redshirt Sophomore Center Goran Suton, who leads the team in rebounds. Redshirt Junior Center Drew Naymick leads the team in blocks and gets 21 minutes a game. Freshman Guard Isaiah Dahlman averages 16 minutes and 4 points a game.

Southern California vs. Arkansas-Trojans have one white backup in Sophomore Forward Keith Wilkinson, and hegets just under 12 minutes a game. Arkansas is one of the IMHO least deserving teams to get in, and their lone white starter is 7 foot Junior Center Steven Hill who has the team high for blocks and field goals. Sophomore Guard Sean McCurdy has started 6 games, but gets 9.5 minutes a game. Junior Guard Preston Cranford gets just under 5 minutes a game.

Texas vs. New Mexico State-The Horns have 2 white reservists in Sophomore Forward/Center Connor Atchley and Freshman Forward/Center Matt Hill. Atchley gets 17.7 minutes and 4 points a game. He's second on the team in blocks. Hill plays an average of 12.3 minutes. NMSU has a bench player in Senior Guard Ted Knauber who gets 15.5 minutes and 5.4 points per game.

Vanderbilt vs. George Washington-Vandy starts 2 whites, Senior Guard Dan Cage and Junior Forward Ross Neltner. Cage scores over 11 a game, and is the most accurate free throw and 3 point shooter on the team. Neltner is the most accurate field goal shooter of the starters. Senior Center Ted Skuchas leads the team in blocks, while Junior Forward Alan Metcalfe plays 7.5 minutes a game and gets 2.4 points while doing it. GW plays no white for any significant amount of time.

Washington State vs. Oral Roberts-Wassu starts 3-4 whites depending on the game, but the 3 who start most of the time are Junior Guard Derrick Low, RS Sophomore Forward Daven Harmeling, and Junior Forward Robbie Cowgill. Low leads in scoring and free throw percentage, while Harmeling scores 9 a game and leads the starters in three point percentage. Cowgill is mainly a defensive specialist for the Cougars. In reserve, Sophomore CenterAron Baynes gets 15 minutes and 5 points a game. Freshman Guard Nikola Koprivica averages about the same, and Sophomore Guard Taylor Rochestie does as well. Oral Roberts doesn't play white men for any decent length of time.

Boston College vs. Texas Tech-BC starts one white in Junior Forward John Oates, but only averages about 5 points. Bench player Tyler Roche, a Freshman Forward, plays 11 minutes a game. The Red Raiders have one full time white starter in Senior Forward Jon Plefka. He averages 6.5 points and is second on the team in blocks. 3 part time starters/players are Junior Center Esmir Rizvic and Sophomore Forward Michael Prince, andSophomore Guard Alan Voskuil.

Georgetown vs. Belmont-The Hoyas are coal black as usual. Belmont has Junior Guard Justin Hare, wholeads with14.4 a game. Senior Center Andrew Preston is second in blocks. Senior Guard Josh Goodwin and Sophomore Forward Matthew Dotson round out the four white starters. Backup Senior Center Boomer Herndon is second on the team in scoring and leads in blocks. Sophomore Guard Andy Wicke leads the team in steals with 33. Freshman Forward Keeton Belcher and Sophomore Forward Will Peeples are the other main contributors.

great job Colonel!

sadly, i have to agree with your asessment regarding Arkansas' invitation to the Dance. i'm a native of Arkansas and grew up a Razorbacks fan, but they certainly didn't earn their way into the dance. for that matter, i don't think SEC rival Kentucky did either. the only reason these two teams are in, in my opinion, is because the selection committee demanded that the SEC get at least 5 teams in. even though the SEC doesn't have 5 good teams.
smiley5.gif
and Stanford didn't earn its berth either, i don't think. although, they are a talented team.

how can a team like Air Force, who was ranked in the Top 25 nearly all year NOT get invited, while teams like these get invitations? it's clearly a bias that favors the BIG conferences. that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if any of these teams made a tourney run. but potential or talent is NOT what the committee is supposed to base their decisions on...

since the most at-large Mid-Major bids ever in 2004, with 12 teams getting bids, the selection committee has rapidly shrunken the number of those invites. only 6 teams from non-BCS conferencesreceived at-large bids this year. it's pathetic.

Thanks Jimmy! You did a great job as well.

Besides Air Force, I think Syracuse got screwed. I agree with you about Kentucky, and one of my buddies said the same thing to me the other day. I saw those numbers on the non-power conferences and it is a bad trend. I look forward to watching the games starting Thursday.

I posted on other message board but correct all around--Illinois, Arkansas and stanford were political picks no matter what that head dweeb says. air force and syracuse were screwed and i don't blame Boheim for complaining loudly.

thanks, Aragorn.

there are several "expert" upset picks that "everyone" is predicting.

three in fact, and each of them is a "white" team getting beaten by a coal black team. the predicted losers? Butler, Notre Dame, and Duke.

i wonder why that is...

I think if BYU gets a shot at Ohio State in the 2nd round that we have got a 30% chance at a major upset. That would definitely shock the caste system to the core. BYU has very mobile and athletic big men and run the kind of offence that could give the Buckeyes trouble. Plus Ohio State's offence is kind of plodding for a team full of supposedly great athletes, of course you could say that about all the offences in the Big Ten.

Xavier is a favorite to beat BYU. I'm sure it is due to them having more blackletes.

I think BYU will win though, and I hope you are right about Ohio State.

it is apparentEVERY time a white basketball player/team opposes a basketball player/team that the two play under different rules. it's already happened, or is happening as i type this,4 times in this Tourney, and each time the white team (Davidson, Belmont, Penn, and Washington State) suffered massively from the lop-sided officiating.

blacks get away with traveling, carrying, pushing, grabbing, hacking, climbing over the back, hand-checking, and generally everything else. conversely, the white players are called for violations if they even remotely resemble having committed an offense.

this certainly isn't fair, but it does account for yet another obstacle that white athletes must overcome in order to be victorious on the court. (the biggest, of course, being the "fact" that they're not very talented.

So far today, our teams are doing fairly well. Butler beat Old Dominion, and Washington State beat Oral Roberts. David Padgettwas keyfor Louisville in their win. Vandy is looking good against GW as well.

Dang! Duke lost.

Well, at least Michigan State won. I see that Xavier is starting Justin Doellman and he's having a good game thusfar against BYU.
