His ypc was under 10 because he used as an extension of the running game, as their running game was terrible that year, avging 3 ypc with no guy going over 300 yards. Mike Kafka is overrated as qb imo. He is very athletic and has a strong arm, but wasn't that good on short and intermediate routes, which is where Zeke mainly had his plays, alot of catches he had to adjust for which hurts your ability to get yac. When I was watching Peterman, I always wondered why they used CJ Bacher over Kafka, since Bacher couldn't throw a pass over 15 yards, and the few times Kafka played he would launch the ball downfield as well as better running ability, then once he started I realized why, he was good but inconsistent, and despite Bacher's deficiencies, he led NU to 9 wins that year. There weren't too many other good receivers getting significant playing time, Ebert rarely played with 21 catches, the only other threat was Brewer, who probably should be on NFL team himself.
Yes there are a ton of other white receivers that are better that I would rather see get a shot, but the NFL tends to ignore athletic freaks like Peterman. I mean, imagine them trying to explain a white guy that is 6'1 with freakish agility and 4.4 speed, a white Percy Harvin without the injuries. The receivers that usually get a shot have around 4.5 speed or lower (the msm tends to ignore agility and every other drill whites put up great numbers and considers them as not important) and many tend to be under 6 foot, so they can mock their size constantly even though tons of black guys with similar size play. At this point, Zeke has a better shot of getting into the NFL than Peterman, so I would rather settle for that than neither being in the NFL. I am hoping, but I am not holding my breath about Peterman. Peterman and Danny Woodhead would be too much, but we are seeing progress, it just has been several years since he played. Hopefully Sharp is still trying to get into a league, whether it be CFL, UFL etc.
just look at Jake Sharp, totally ignored. He has elite measurables, including 40 yard dash, and isn't 5'9 or shorter. Danny Woodhead is one of the few who are elite in all categories that has gotten a shot, but they constantly talk about his height. Guys like Welker have freakish agility and short area quickness/initial burst but average 40 times. The MSM media doesn't want dwfs to know that there are white football players with the same measurables as black prospects who have elite speed in the 40 as well as better agility times. They want us to think that every white player is deficient in some area, whether it be height, straight line speed etc. even though the 4.5 isn't really being deficient in straight line speed, they just have us think that. So when we try to argue where are the white dbs/rbs/wrs, dwfs will say, where is a guy like Chris Johnson, (which I think Sharp could be like) or where is guy like Moss, which Jones could be with a team using him the same way, or where is a guy like Harvin, which is who Peterman is like. So the answer to the question is they haven't gotten a shot, which their response is "bs, the coaches play the best players to win" Danny Woodhead is finally defying stereotypes, he is like a Barry Sanders or Marshall Faulk, but you would get so many people attacking you if you made those comparisons, apparently his ceiling is Kevin Faulk although his ability and playing has shown otherwise.
