There's a train wreck in progress in Lexington, KY with the UK Wildcats. UK has never been a real good program but Rich Brooks had made improvements and had been able to get them to some lower level bowls. Joker Phillips took over last year and the wheels are coming off. He has settled on a quarterback in Morgan Newton who appears to be totally out of his league and for all practical purposes ran off the other highly ranked QB Ryan Mossakowski.
I'm not sure why the AD chose Joker Phillips but I have a feeling he thought a black coach would be better at recruiting black athletes. The most likely outcome will be a 3 win season. It will be interesting to see if they pull the plug on the Joker Phillips experiment.
