Another dazzling performance by Taylor Coppenrath. 37
points to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament. He is so fun
to watch. I don't know how well Vermont will do in the
tournament, but they're definitely one of the best teams to root
for.

Bogut also played very well in his last game. Something like 23
and 17.

Charles Barkely was on the Wilbon/Kornheiser show today and, in addition to saying that he thought Bogut was the best player in college by far, the only other player he mentioned was Coppenrath. He was really high on him. Tony Koirnheiser is the poster by for the caste system. He is revolting.

He missed a lot of short jumpers but was in no way outclassed by the
inside guys from the recent national champ team from 'cuse.
Vermont is an exciting club...i hope they can get by Michigan State.

It was great to see Vermont upset Syracuse, but it was a bit surprising
(and disappointing) to hear T.J. Sorentine interviewed in a press
conference after the game. This guy (who hit a key 3-pointer from way,
way outside late in the game) sounded just like an ignorant homeboy.
Still, any time a team with 4 white starters wins, it's good news. I do
feel sorry for Gerry McNamara, who like so many white college stars,
ended his career on a sour note. The announcers were all over him
during the game, and basically blamed him for the loss. Typical
"journalistic" stuff.
