Some good news

Winona State out of Minnesota just won the Division II national title beating an all-black team out of Virginia. Winona State has about 4 white players out of every 5. They only have about 2 or 3 black or mulatto players and they are only role players. Cheers to Winona State for giving us a break this weekend.

That's some encouragement and I saw a little of the first half. I wonder how many white basketball players get screwed out of Division 1 scholarships and have to go to Division II where they currently dominate. The NBA rarely scouts that division.

I am still amazed that the "lower" schools don't get scouted more and that's for black and white players. Walter Payton and Jerry Rice both came out of small schools, and the list of course would go on and on.


If I had any money and was able to own a team, I'd scout those small schools like crazy. I guarantee you'd find enough talent to be in contention year in and year out, without killing payroll.
