The concensus top 5 recruiting classes in 2007 were: Florida, USC, Tennessee, LSU, and Texas. The Associated Press reported that of the 123 high school players who sent in letters to those programs on signing day, only 59 (48%) were still on the teams' rosters as seniors in 2010 or '11' (depending on whether they redshirted).

Some turned pro early. Some never made it to campus. Many departed for various reasons: disciplinary problems, academics, injuries, etc.

I didn't research this, but I would say that of those 123 recruits 80% were black and probably 95% of the players that left early were black.

Doing the math, if I'm correct that would leave us, assuming 80% were black and 20% white, 98 black players and 25 white players.

64 players left school early and if 95% of those were black, that would be 61 of the original 98 black players never completed their eligibility! Only 38% completed their eligibility.

22 of the 25 white players completed their eligibility! (88%)

Again. I didn't research this, but I'd bet I'm close.

To me, this is INSANITY!
