Rise of the Latinos

Many times it's been mentioned in the CasteFootball Baseball thread that Latino/Mestizo/Mexican/Afro-caribbean players get all sorts of extra attention and second chances, at the expense of White players. There are hundreds of examples in the thread, and there's one more today from that most hideous of franchises, Peter Angelos's Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles the past ten years have really specialized in trotting out fatally-flawed, career minor-leaguers, giving them an Orioles jersey, and torturing fans as they stink up the American League. Finally today after four months of such torture, the O's demoted to AAA a beast named "Radhames Liz" a right-handed pitcher who lost lots of games, looked permanently lost on the hill, had era of almost 8, and couldn't control anything. But because of his pigment, this permanent minor leaguer got about eight tries. He utterly sukked (as do the Orioles in general), and finally the "organization" had to admit that the fellow isn't up to snuff.

No doubt we will see Mr. Liz again soon. The guy just grabs a ball and flings it toward the catcher. Remember the excellent White sportscaster who reminded us of Mestizo batters who "hack at slop" and stike out frequently? Same with many Mestizo pitchers. There's no technique whatsoever. They throw the ball toward home plate, sometimes really hard.

Won't be sad to see Mr. Liz go. But O's will undoubtedly overlook a half-dozen excellent White AAA and AA prospects and treat us to another Dominican who will deliver walks, runs, and losses

During the Mets game today, pitcher Johann Santana hit a long fly ball -- and never moved from home plate until it hit off the right field wall. He ended up barely making a single. The Caste clowns on ESPN's Baseball Tonight of course excused Santana("he thought it was going to be a home run,' "he thought it was going foul," "Santana honors the game").John Kruk

who gladly plays the white buffoon role, actually praised Santana because Santana admitted after the game that it was "a bad base running mistake."

The most basic fundamentals of sports can be brazenly ignored and gotten away with by non-whites. It's no coincidence that fundamentals in baseball, football and basketball have plummeted far more than in other sports.

I loved one of the final acts of Manny Ramirez. He hit a fly ball and without watching to see if it was caught or even attempting to go toward first, he put his bat on his shoulder and slowly walked back to the dugout.

Just Manny being Manny.

I can't imagine what would happen if a white player did that. All of sports media would be on him. But with hispanics they always just explain that they are a hot blooded people and very emotional. Right!!!

Still a fan in Pittsburgh talking about how we overvalue Pirate players said that we need to realize Bay is a good player not a great one.

If Bay were a black hispanic the media and fans would be screaming from the top of their lungs about his greatness. His stats put him in an elite group over the last 4 years but he is white, therefore he is simply a good player.Edited by: Skipperron
