I like the fact that he will be competing at Crusierweight instead of Heavyweight. It will suit him better in the long run not being an undersized heavy like Ibragimov or Chagaev...who like Chakhkiev were both in the Heayweight division in the amateurs which is between 179lbs and 200lbs.

Unbeaten cruiserweight Rakhim Chakhkiev (4-0, 4 KOs) impressed again with a fifth round TKO over Rene Huebner (25-16-2, 11 KOs). Chakhkiev, the 2008 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist, got the win when Huebner could not continue due to a shoulder problem.

2008 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist Rachim Tschachkijew (8-0, 6 KOs) dominated Lukasz Rusiewicz (9-10, 2 KOs) in an eight round cruiserweight bout. Tschachkijew landed a lot of big shots, but the iron-jawed Rusiewicz survived the full distance. Scores were 80-72 on all cards.

Chakhkiev looked very, very good today, becoming the first to stop Simms, who was counted out in the 4th. He succeeded where others have failed, in breaking through Simms excellent defense.

He might actually be the most talented of our white boxers, definitely in the top 5! I think he'd beat Huck and Cunningham right now.

Chakhkiev is able to throw a variety of very hard punches from different angles without becoming tired.

I didn't see today's fight but I saw Chakhiev fight Jolly, and I too was impressed with him.
