It's unbelievable to me that Colorado let Forsberg go. This guy is a franchise player. He really killed the Red Wings in the Western Conf. playoffs. He is a total playoff stud and cannot be shutdown. The Flyers getting this guy makes them the team to beat in the East.

Forsberg's made noises about playing in Sweden so it's great to see him stayin the NHL. He's a lot of fun to watch, amazingly skilled and tough at the same time. There are a lot of very good Swedish players, and tough ones too, contrary to the Caste System propaganda that Scandinavians (and Europeans in general) are soft. Remember the defensemanUlf Samuelson? He was beloved in Pittsburgh when he played with the Penguins' Cup winners. He was often called "Jack Lambert on skates," which is about as high a compliment as you can get around these parts.

Ulfie Samuelson !! A Great One .... wish he were on My Team

The latter glory days of the Penguins were graced by the huge hits and menacing snarl of Ulfie Samuelson. The fancy Lemieuxs, Langs, Kovalevs, Jagrs, Francis's and others owe a lot of their success to the order-keeping of Ulfie the animal, who kept many an opponent's enforcer at a safe distance from the Pens' skill players. It was wonderful when there were TWO Samuelsons on the Pens, Kjell and Ulf. Kjell was big as Zeus, was able to intimidate just by breathing on opponents. The two made many photo-ops for hockey mags as a Dynamic Duo.

Swedes? Yes they make fine hockey players, what's this stuff about them being soft? Forsberg is a serious Hall-of-Fame talent. Glad he's still in business.

Hope the NHL is able to get a doggone TV presence that's worth a hoot
