Seems like Krstic is emerging as a key player on the Nets. When is the last time a European has had a key role on an east coast NBA team? Last I can remember is Petrovic, also on nets, until his death.

Ilgauskas is a key player for the Cavs. Also Kirk Heinrich and Nocioni for the Bulls. Hopefully, Bogut will be a go to player for the Bucks soon as well.Edited by: KG2422

However, I meant specifically teams on the east coast, from Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, New York Knicks, to my knowledge none have had a key European (as opposed to white player who might be American) with exception of Petrovic.

Oh, I mistakingly thought you were referring to the Eastern Conference. As a side note, the Nets also have another Euro who can play but doesn't receive enough playing time. Zoran Planinic
