So Cal
Well this should be good as long as it lasts. I always hope that this fight will the one that ends Gayweather's reign. I expect Ortiz to really test Gayweather and pound him. Should be interesting.

Floyd Mayweather demanded in the contract that Victor Ortiz wear Grant gloves, which have more padding than the Reyes gloves preferred by most Hispanic fighters.

And Floyd will have the same referee he had against Ricky Hatton: the shady Joe Cortez, a Puerto Rican who is well-known to not like Mexican or Mexican-American boxers.

Mayweather insists on having all his fights at home in Las Vegas, where the crooked judges can help him out if needed, as they did in his first fight with Castillo.

Floyd sucker punches Ortiz after Cortez deducts a point from Ortiz, knocks him out. Ortiz had been coming on just before the point deduction.

Ortiz was waiting for Cortez to tell them to resume, Cortez was looking at the timekeeper waiting for him to re-start the clock.

In the post-fight interview, Floyd is verbally abusive to Larry Merchant and threatens him. Merchant says "if I were 50 years younger I'd kick your butt."

Ortiz with a blatant headbutt right before Monkeyweather sucker punched him. Ortiz is a fake, cheesy brown in the mold of De La Fishnets. Ortiz just looked happy to be there. Jose Cortez was as crooked as usual.

Epic line from Larry Merchant.

DWFs are calling Ortiz a scumbag for the headbutt and then completely excusing Mayweather's crimes and the blatant sucker punch.

In 2004, Mayweather was convicted on two counts of battery for punching two women at a Las Vegas
nightclub the previous year. He was given suspended prison sentences,
$1,000 in fines and ordered to complete impulse control counseling.

Mayweather in 2002 pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence
in one case and battery in another. In 2005, a jury acquitted him of a
third domestic violence charge, a felony, after his accuser changed her
story. He reportedly was convicted of battery in his hometown of Grand
Rapids, Mich., and he has also been the subject of civil lawsuits
accusing him of battery.</span>

Victor Ortiz, who looks like a full-blooded Indian, has some boxing ability but is too weak-minded to be a consistently successful fighter.

He was being much too apologetic to Mayweather. Black boxers never apologize for their deliberate headbutts, which they very often resort to when losing.

Like Berto did two weeks ago:

The fight may have been scripted, fixed. There's plenty that smells a mile. Cortez is a crooked and incompetent ref. He showed it time and again, especially in the Hatton-Mayweather fight also in Las Vegas. Ortiz' attempted head butt was too ridiculously obvious and infective and unnecessarily as he was coming on strong. And then him trying to hug and kiss Mayweather. WTF was that all about? And then the way he stood there with his arms at his sides as if he was waiting to get hit. And then the way he acted happy when the fight was over. And his corner's lack of protest. Something is real fishy here.

If a young white fighter behaved like the black thug Mayweather did to an old black announcer everyone from Soetoro-Obama on up would be demanding his banning if not the death penalty.

Cortez is the most crooked ref in boxing, and that's saying a lot. He should be banned from boxing and his finances should be investigated, especially for influxes of money after fights like this and Hatton-Mayweather also in Las Vegas, and then he should be arrested.

May never be able to prove it....but it seems too obvious this fight was fixed. It's total bait for Pacman vs Mayweather. I'm sure Pacman will dominate Marquez...then the people won't be able to resist the Mayweather face off. I felt like I was watching WWF or something last night. I hate to say it but I don't really have much interest in watching these high level fights anymore. I'd rather watch the free-view fights earlier in the day when the MGM is empty lol.

Hi, been reading you for a while and just registered. Of course it's a fix job.
Even Juan Manuel Marquez' last fight against that Columbian Welter was fixed to make Marquez look like he has KO power in this division and draw customers for his bout against Pacquiao.

I stopped watching the UFC because of those crooked maneuvers but now it looks like every HBO event has that share of dirty politics.

Thank god for Boxing in Europe !

Hi. Welcome here. I don't know much about UFC, but I thought they were keeping it clean. No?

European boxing needs to separate itself from the totally corrupt boxing scene in the USA and UK.

Some good posts from Yahoo Answers on this WWF wrasslin-boxing event :

"Was the Mayweather-Ortiz fight fixed?

"This is exactly what I thought, my friends and I discussed this after the fight.
It really did remind me of an old fashioned pro wrestling match where the ref gets "distracted" and
the "villian" takes advantage of the situation.
Watch the fight again, look at the subtle form of communication before the "cheap shots"
Watch Ortiz's reaction to the first punch (which was all arm) he just stands there, waiting for the second!
Watch ref still not looking.
Ortiz goes down with a second punch (a little more force, but nothing Ortiz cant handle)
Ortiz goes down and watch him on the canvas, he is NOT knocked out! He could have gotten up,
look at his eyes, didn't even grab the ropes to help him up.
Mayweather even tells the public to wait for the "rematch"
The 2 of them are still partying togeter on a private casino floor with the millions they both made!

Fixed fixed fixed...I 1st cheered then I was like wait a minute what just happened...Before the fight started it seemed like the mantra was "Protect yourself at all times" and well what do you know that theme was repeated throughout the whole telecast.. It was classic WWF/WWE I said I've seen this one before ( the whole charade)... Ortiz was cheesing really hard after his supposed loss...I do know this...I'm done with fake azz boxing. MMA will get my PPV money in the future..What a waste of money....SOOO FAKE!!!!!! BOXING IS DEAD...HBO Owes me $70.00HD Big time!!! FREAKING ACTORS......

I used to watch Pride and K1 and then began to watch the UFC, at first i was a little suspicious against some early stoppages or judges decisions but it's likely to happen and i accepted it. Then i saw the whole "black american athlete" hype with Jones coming, i smelt it from the beginning but hoped i was wrong. His fight against Bader and especially his "official crowning" fight against Shogun showed me that not only did they use judges or referees to favor their new standard bearer but they made fighters lose on purpose as did Shogun in this fight. Having said that, i don't think it's always a black and white thing but a green one, Dana White Trash just wants for his UFC company what's more profitable, he wants quotas to attract minorities fanbases, just remember the Lesnar-Velasquez pre fight.

As an example to prove to an extent my unbiased opinion is a fight in the newly Zuffa org Strikeforce: Watch the Diaz vs Daley bout and tell me it is not fixed, it was set to be a 1st round Ko for Diaz, the stoppage is just ridiculous, Diaz is an awful boxer and was hitting air, i heard he was to make a pro boxing debut but eventually he reviewed his decision.

MMA is probably more rigged than Boxing. In boxing we often see home decisions, bad refeering, but not so much staged action and theater plays like was Mayweather VS Ortiz.

My theory is that Mayweather and Ortiz had planned this controversy fight (along with Joe Cortez) and he (Mayweather) hopes the hatred he generates will convert into ppv because people would be dying to see him receive the beating he deserves.
That makes even more sense if you consider a forthcoming fight against Pacquiao who's everything Floyd is not in terms of sportmanship, behavior... We can already picture the hbo face off drama with personality oppositions, the gentleman vs the cheating arrogant sob. People would blindly pay to see this.
If the fight doesn't happen next, i will be proven wrong then.

It appears Mayweather's chick had bet on a 4th rnd stoppage: http://www.yardbarker.com/boxing/ar...es_bet_that_it_would_end_in_4th_round/6866044

Wow, yet another piece of evidence, as if it wasn't clear enough already that the hyped up thing was a sham. Mayweather's whore couldn't resist making that bet, could she? Yep, boxing becomes wrasslin, complete with refs pretending to be distracted while the heel pulls out the foreign object or sucker punches the baby face who's just trying to shake his hand and hug and kiss him. When are they going to break out the folding chairs?

And shrieking chest pounding steroid phreakes, they're going to impose Gaylord Gaye upon us yet again! Boxingmania 2!

And thanks for the illuminating posts about MMA, Frenchman. Too bad, but this country is so f'ing corrupt, from top to bottom, sports too, sports being the least of it.

I really dont care about non-white fighters but a quick check of Boxrec.com shows Mayweather has never had a 4th round KO in his career of 41 fights.
So a bet on a knockout in that round is very suspicious.

I know a whole lot about these sports politics as well, just take a look at my "national" teams (except Rugby)
I just learned to recognize a swindle when i see it.
Not the best era to be French in France these days but somehow i guess that's something "we" all share in common. You're welcome.

Jean Raspail saw it coming.

The media and the boxing establishment is sweeping the whole thing under the rug, same as they did with Gaye's fixed fights vs. Harrison and Valuev, same as with all the other fixed fights over the years.

In my earlier thread on one of the junk boxing forums I brought this up. I said it would be interesting to see how many bets came in on Mayweather winning by KO in round 4. That was before the info on the prostitute's bet came out.

Le Camp des Saints was reedited this year, Rapsail was invited here and there with the analogy of the last Maghreb events and migrations and the theme of his book.

As for Bigard, he's a "Franchouillard" kind of humorist, very crude kind of humor but he's good at it . He may be right to be suspicious about certain things but there are numerous things to be suspicious about in his very own country, yet i don't hear him about it. And in his artists class, it's not that risky to be tagged as an anti-american plus he has that satisfied attitude of a self-righteous rebel which makes i'm not a big fan. What i mean is that it's not really subversive to question the 9 11 here.

So Cal
Ok my anger has subsided almost completey about this heist.

Several observations.

1st, the fight was even with Ortiz coming on in the 4th. Then inexpectibly he obviously head butts Mayweather in the corner just after nailing him with numerous shots.

2nd, Cortez, the POS dirty ref who handicapped Ricky Hatton in his fight against Mayweather by always interferring and taking Hatton's inside fighting away from him. Prick.

3rd, After the point deduction for the obvious and "planned" head butt (Ortiz in his career has never been a dirty fighter) did not separate and give the command to both to "BOX", he just wondered away while Mayweather tee'd off.

4th, after the debacle, F'ing Ortiz gleefully thanked Mayweather for being a dirty fighter and KO'ing him. Are you kidding me!!!

5th, I will never buy a Gayweather PPV and hope Ortiz gets demolished in his next fight. My residue anger is reserved for Ortiz for collaborating with Mayweather, Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya all F'ing gangsters and dirt to the sport.

6th, currently the only big name fighters I hold beyond reproach are the K Bros, Pacman and Bute. Damn as I write the anger rises!
