I saw that she won the bronze in the 100 hurdles does anybody have any clue of her ethnic background? Her surname is Portugese, but she looks aboriginal looking. Maybe she is of a Brazilian background. Edited by: white is right

I think she is Portuguese, but most Portuguese have Moorish (the Moors were a mixture of Arab/Berber and black African decent) blood which is why they are often the darkest Europeans. But who really cares about that, they are a part of European History and I consider them and their culture European. The Portuguese of today probably look significantly darker than the Portuguese of the 500 and 600s A.D.

BTW Sicilians and some Spaniards have Moorish blood too.
