Figures. They won't be happy until England is half black and half Asian.

This is what has been going on "behind the scenes" for the last two decades. In a sane world, the "sponsors" might say that the team requires more Scousers

.

But seriously, once corporations become involved in sports, everything goes to pot. "Businessmen"don't see traditions, they don't feel local or national pride - instead, they see "markets", they feel the compulsion for endless increases in profits and their world is "global", sans borders.

If only they could find the requisite Asian players, I'm certain that every European club (with the exception ofAthletic Bilbao

) would wish to sign one in order to further "globalise their brand". Because that's what football clubs are - a bloody well"brand". Forget the Whites who founded and built these clubs up from nothing, who have loyally supported them down the generations - no, that isn't enough. We need to sell shirts, gadgetsand cable subscriptions to fish-faced rice scoffers in the "Far East", who dream of seeing a fellow fish-face in Liverpool / Man. United /Chelsea / etc. colours, as they can "identify" with a player who resembles them physically. The same applies to blacks and Arabs. The Whites, however, will have to make do with watching the blacks, the Arabs and (if we can find them) the Asians, for White "identity" is unimportant...

I think that crap about adding coloreds to a team to "increase market share" is all a bullsh*t cover. The people that run those corporations are all brain washed drones who have been spoon fed this multicult crap every step of their way through the education system. Commonsense tells you that the best way to increase profits is to increase market share amongst your most loyal pool of customers, and in this case that is the local white football fans. But that's racist.

The takeover of Liverpool by US company New England Sports Ventures,
owner of the Boston Red Sox, was completed in October 2010 and generated
huge global media coverage.

Odd, I posted a story and a link to it last year that said a Chinese-based company or consortium of Chinese companies bought out the Liverpool club with financing help from the Chinese government. I figured that was the reason this was happening.

Damn, and to think I was planning to buy a Liverpool shirt

Jaxvid - Modern Western "corporate businessmen" are exactly how You described them. They have been weaned on the sourpap of supposedly benign "multiculturalism" from their earliest years, yet for all of the fluffy theorythey aren't all that keen to experience it first-hand under "uncontrolled" circumstances - id est, they prefer holidays in secure resorts and escorted toursabroad, upmarket "ethnic" restaurants and exhibitions of "tribal art" in salubrious surrounds athome, although home is always a pristineall-White neighbourhood (preferably gated, withresponsible White geezers manning the said gates).Making the decisions which ruin the neighbourhoods, societies and pastimes of other Whites is perfectly acceptable, however, as the resultant "multicultural utopias" can be (selectively) experienced vicariously, form a safe distance, where one can feel good about one's non-discriminatory nature while polishing one's halo. The halo polishing is figurative, of course, as a corporeal halo would be polished by a hireling...

I recall a conversation I had with a friend of mine who happens to be a very "high flier", in which I reaffirmed my admiration for Athletic Bilbao's "Basques only" policy as a continuation of a proud tradition which helps to preserve Basque identity in this ridiculous age. His response? Such a policy doesn't have anything to do with tradition - it's just plain xenophobia. Oh, yes, it's a colourblind world indeed...

The purchase of a football shirt is always a risky investment as the protean racial composition of teams can quickly render such a garment embarrassingly unwearable.

The Liverpool sides of the mid-1990s were quite black, especially by the "Whiter" standards of the time and included John Barnes, David James, Phil Babb, Stan Collymore and Michael Thomas. The incredibly arrogant Paul Ince signed in 1997, while the early 2000s saw Liverpool teams which contained Emile Heskey, Djimi Traore, Rigobert Song, Titi Camara, Nicolas Anelka, Salif Diao, peroxide freak Abel Xavier, prize arsehole El Hadji Diouf and perenially unused substitute goalkeeper Pegguy Arphexad. The club became "Whiter" as the decade wore on , yet still signed Djibril Cisse, Mohamed Sissoko, Jermaine Pennant, Ryan Babel and David N'Gog.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the off-season Liverpool just happen to acquire some "exciting talent" which shall alter the complexion of the team to a more "acceptable" shade...

By way of comparison, Blackburn Rovers were always criticised for being a "White" club and only had a couple of black players (funnilly enough, strikers Andy Coleand Dwight Yorke) in addition to Turkish midfielder Tugay Kerimoglu in their lineups early last decade. But just look at their current personnel - what self-respecting White man would even wipe his arse with a Rovers shirt now?
