There's two interesting fights coming up in Wales this weekend.

Light Welterweight WBA title: Gavin Rees (26-0, 13 KO), undefeated Welsh fighter against African Souleymane M'baye(35-1-1, 20 KO). Rees is only 5'3'' and will be at a serious reach disadvantage in this fight.

Cruiserweight WBO title: Enzo Maccarinelli (26-1, 20 KO), who (like Joe Calzaghe) has a Welsh mother and an Italian father, against African (now American resident) former titleholder Wayne Braithwaite (22-2, 18 KO).

We just won another world title!

Today in Wales, Gavin Rees (27-0) completely outboxed Souleymane M'Baye and won a wide UD to claim the WBA Light Welterweight title. This is a huge upset! The official odds were 7 to 1 for M'Baye to win.

And Enzo Maccarinelli successfully defended his WBO cruiserweight title by winning a wide UD over Wayne Braithwaite, a Don King fighter.

White boxers keep winning - this seems like the beginning of a new Golden Age in boxing!
