I thought I'd bring this up since I don't see it in here, and it is a current case. I don't think this is a racial issue at all, actually. I think the media and a lot of so called black political leaders have made it one in order to distract everyone from the fact that Trayvon Martin physically attacked Zimmerman, and THAT is the reason Trayvon is dead.
It does not matter to me in the slightest bit if Zimmerman profiled Martin because he's black. Even if he did, it does not give Martin the right to physically attack Zimmerman. Once that happened, Martin lost any defense he had up until that point. Zimmerman could be the grand wizard of the kkk and it wouldn't matter after Martin attacked. It's just that simple.
Just like in the Duke lacrosse case, all of the talking heads in the media trying to fry Zimmerman are going to have egg all over thier faces.
